The best line marker is a small button that fits through your tip up eyelet. Thread your braid through one hole then the other. You can easily slide it up and down and it will stay right where you leave it.
I run a small shirt button on for a depth marker on my Beaver Dams. Have been for 20+ years. You could try that out, they wind up in the spool just fine
Slip bobber markers is what I've been using for a few years now. They've worked great for me. Wow those rock bass were nice size. I love eating them! Used to throw them back every time but now I keep them, unless they're full of black spots.
Smart stop bobber stop! Give them a try!!! I like em anyways... compared to the traditional rubber or string bobber stops. They aren't really made for line above 12lbs though unfortunately. Still worth checking out for your dead stick rods.
To mark your spot on your tip up line use a split shot they work perfectly just reel it up to it and your good then next trip just take it off then use another.
At the end you were talking about your heater konkin out on you, are you using a 20 pound tank? If so, you need to get a filter that attaches to the heater. There's several videos out there about it. Also, if you're refilling your 1 lb tanks yourself (there's videos about how to do that also) then you might want to put the filter between your supply tank and your 1 lb tank. Have fun and don't let the line get too dry. 😁
Something I've been doing for years because I learned it from a guide of many years is a simple button on your tip up line doesnt move easy but moves easily enough to not damage your main line
Weeds down here are super hard to find.. in the summer weeds are where they should be, this winter they are all flat.. never seen that before so the fishing is tough with no standing weeds, but we keep tryin!
I noticed most of the fish were running parallel to the weed line. Next time you might want to try and turn your ducer 90 so you can see them much sooner on your livescope
Kyle went out Saturday and caught to small perch. It would have taken 4 to make a fish stick. So I’m jealous of your rock bass. Lol Another nice video Stay safe.
Awesome video! Got any tips for when the walleyes get lock jaw? I've had several really nice eyes on camera come up to my jigging spoon and turn away towards my dead stick minnow, bump it and swim away. Very frustrating but fun to see on camera.
Ahhh, buddy I regret I couldnt get to your video until today. I live in ND and have only been able to get out on the ice twice. Was going to go today with my dad but he caught the coof pLandemic so we are going to go Thursday. Watching your vids is the only thing keeping my ice sanity alive brother!
I like your walleye videos. This year I'm consintrating on walleye. More input I get the better. Have you ever tried fishing the rivers like Menomonee or Pestigo?
Ok. I was trying some size 6 snelled hooks and they'd spit out the bait before I could get them pinned. I was thinking that perhaps a trebble hooks might keep them pinned until I can get to the traps to set the hook.
Running across the ice bear hugging a walleye might be one of the most Wisconsin things you can do
I know I called everyone out on this but it’s facts! 🤣
only if you you running to get an old fashioned
Nice variety of fish caught I think I'd be having walleye for supper.

Agreed, rock bass are #1 on my list for table fare, followed by blue gills, then both white and yellow perch, and walleye.
Always have used a small button for depth marker, they have worked for decades for us.
Bear hugging walleye = iconic
gotta do it sometimes..
Always good underwater footage 👍
You bet I try!
I really enjoy all your underwater footage! Great job!
Thanks Jeff there is a lot of it on my channel!
Fantastic video. Always like the underwater cam action. Cheers.
Thanks for watching Ben!
Nice walleyes.
Thanks!

I have found when you use an ultra light rippin rap and tip the front hood you get better results.
I use buttons from an old shirt to mark my line depth for my beaver dam tip ups.
Awsome video. I'm convinced the walleye at 11:00 was a paid actor lol
Haha right!
I use a button for the depth marker. Just thread the tip up line threw the button and it stays solid on the line where u put it

You make great videos, informative and entertaining. You always seem to be having fun.
Thanks Dennis!

I’m sure someone already said this but I just use small clothing buttons to mark my depth they hold nice and tight but are also easy to move

If you look on my channel I have a video up explaining how I rig and set tip ups for walleye
You can use a bobber as a depth marker for tip ups
You mean bobber knots 🪢
You think in Spring you'll have some creek trout fishing videos? I hope so!
You betcha!! Catch and cooks!!
Nothing gets your blood pumping more than a spinning tip up!
Awesome thumbnail Kyle! great work!
Thanks! I'm just learning it!
Nice man , bravo 👍

you bet still fish them as they hold lots of food
dude you're not keeping those Rockies?! them good eats! :)
thanks for the celsius temp.
lol. saved me from looking at my unit converter
Haha yes! I'll keep trying to remember that
@@Wisconsin_Fisherman awsome
I can honestly say that I have bear hugged a walleye
I use half of a paper clip to mark tipup depth
@10:12 pays to change it up!
You ain't kidding man!
Nice catch keep it up 👍🎣

Thanks Barry great tip!
I use a button for my depth marker

Nice sounds slow.. Thanks Chris!
Wow great video just one think confuses me. How do you find the weed edge when the lake is froze over
With an underwater camera and sonar
Awesome video! Got any tips for when the walleyes get lock jaw? I've had several really nice eyes on camera come up to my jigging spoon and turn away towards my dead stick minnow, bump it and swim away. Very frustrating but fun to see on camera.
Each fish has a mind of its own. Work each one differently and see what works best. Usually bringing them up works
I've proved it time and time again here in Saskatchewan... catch lots of walleye and as soon as the camera goes down they're done!!

We got more coming! Get well! And good luck when you get out!!
@@Wisconsin_Fisherman Oh he is fine. He is a 72 year old diabetic and says its just a cold with a few aches here and there, nothing more. Thanks!
I like your walleye videos. This year I'm consintrating on walleye. More input I get the better. Have you ever tried fishing the rivers like Menomonee or Pestigo?
I have not, good luck!
@@Wisconsin_Fisherman thank you same to you
Hey, quick question. What size of hooks do you use for your tip ups?
Small ones I not sure the exact size
Ok. I was trying some size 6 snelled hooks and they'd spit out the bait before I could get them pinned. I was thinking that perhaps a trebble hooks might keep them pinned until I can get to the traps to set the hook.
Great multi species video man. I remember being a kid and catching monster 12” Rock Bass thinking I was so cool haha
Yep, obviously most of us prefer walleyes and pannies but Im not to cool for school when it comes to Reggies.
How much do you like those speed beads
They are alright but I think a small button is still the best solution
UR TOO FUNNY LOVE THIS...LOOKS LIKE WHAT I DO LOL
why did you have to call out all of us Wisconsin fisherman🤣i can say ive done that a hand full of times🤣
Are you on lower uecklar lake
What model aqua view do you use?
Hd700i
what is the fish finder that you use at first?
That is a Garmin Livescope I have a few more videos like that explaining it more check them out!
Next time you have a walleye that’s low to the bottom, drop you lure or minnow to the bottom. Many times the walleye will pin it to the bottom.
Right on I’ll try that! Thanks
@@Wisconsin_Fisherman Welcome!
God I feel like I just seen you!!
Haha yeah weird!
What lake
If you don't like to eat walleye, I'll take 'em...
What is your biggest ice walleye in Wisconsin?
Around 27”
@@Wisconsin_Fisherman Wow congratulations
My first one was 31" on lake superior lol
@@stan2207lang Wow, I got about 5 or 6 in that range out of there.
@@The-Capitalist dang nice, were going up there for walleyes in the spring, see what we can get for size
