Blender 3.0 - Create a Plexus Style Animation with Blender 3D Geometry Nodes (TUTORIAL)

  • Hi guys, in this video, i am going to share with you how to build a Plexus animation using Blender 3D Geometry nodes.
    If you guys aren’t aware of what the plexus effect is, it’s basically a plugin for After Effects that allow you to create very interesting connected vertex point in After Effects very easily.

    I can't find "Point to instance" node (in today downloaded alpha) there is "Point to vertices" "Instances to point", "Instance on point"

      "Instance on point" is what I've used

      Yes, please use "Instance on point" node, Blender have change a lot since i record this video

      @@Chong3D Hi! Tell me please, how to do this in the new Blender 3.0 version? I have a problem. I used the "Instance on point" node instead of "point to instance" and connected two "Ico sphere" nodes to it. I have small spheres on tops, but I can't attach them to "BezierCircle" to make it one (((

    Wow, this was really good! I just got back to Blender after I heard about the geometry nodes.... I've been using Houdini a fair bit lately, so the concept feels natural to me. You present really well and the result is excellent!

    Thanks for the lesson! Cool! But why don't I loop the animation with "#frame"??? Do I need to install something extra?

      You don't have to install extra addon to use "#frame"
      Just type #frame and divide any numbers you want,
      for example: #frame/100
      you can experiment with it

    did you use color gradient for video editing ??? , render result of blend file is far different from you video output????

      Yes, i actually make some color correction using AE, just tweaking the Hue and saturation

      Go to output properties tab, in the output section, select where you wan to output, then go to the Top, click Render and Render Animation

      You can use instance on points node, then connect your instance object to the "Instance" input

      Hi, you can try to add a Point Scale Node before the Point instance and adjust it smaller

      Have you download the latest build?
      Please download it here:
      builder.blender.org/download/daily/
      In the Geometry Node Editor,
      press Shift + A, go to curve, and it should be there

      Btw, you can use the "Instance on points" node in the Blender 3.1
