The idea is perfectly OK, but the actual modification is quite BAD. The main reason is -- THE WIRES are too thin and the switch is TOO WEAK. All wires to any of the batteries should be PURE COPPER, AT LEAST 4mm2 and as short as possible. You used wires between 0.5 and 2.5mm2. This setup may be able to SLOWLY CHARGE the external battery, but if you happen to need to use the external battery as a power source, then you are totally screwed - it will never work, with ANY LOAD above let's say 25W. :) . For any reasonable load, i.e. above 100W, currents will be definitely above 10 A. There will be huge losses over these thin wires, and the UPS will switch off immediately upon putting any serious load. The UPS will report the battery is completely discharged while it most probably will be just fine. The second weak point is the switch. It needs to be AT LEAST a 25A switch. From what I see, yours most probably is not. Same thing for the barrel connector - it needs to be rated at least 25A, which this one certainly is not. I RECOMMEND using banana plugs. They are rated for higher currents. All these ratings apply if you are planning to use the external battery as a SOURCE. If you are only charging it, well, then the setup may work fine - BARELY. When using currents in excess of 10 Amp, you really need to pay attention to the WIRES ! :)
The UPS on the video is 650VA, which is ~300-360W, so 400W from THIS UPS is out of the question. On a larger UPS (i.e. 800-850VA ~ 500W), with ONE 12V 9Ah battery, you can run 400W load for 12-15 minutes.
Can I replace my UPS battery with a lithium battery 100ah for more capacity? I have a 600 watts UPS in which I have my computer, 2 monitors and the router plug in. Can I use that type of battery ( lithium battery 100ah and can it be charge by the UPS) Thank you for your time and assistance!
Better do not do. Lithium ion battery has a working range from 12.6 v Max to around 9V. Lead acid battery ups work between 14 v and 10.5 v. You can't change that in ups because you will not get proper output below 10.5 V. UPS will understand charge full only after battery reaching above 14 v for lead acid powered ups. So ideally charging completion also will not happen in lead acid powered ups. You need specific lithium ion battery tuned UPS
@@manorenjreghunathan4304Ive done it and not using the ups charging. I charge the battery thru solar scc and sometimes with external lifepo4 battery charger. I also remove the alarm
I hack my ups get it run for 7 hours and a half with 4 12 volt lead acid battery 3 12 volt 7.2 Amp and one 20Amp battery wich is very good am going used deep cycle 12 volt 100Amp

Thanks for your brilliant comment.
how many hours that last on battery if have 400 watts running from it may I asked

this is good for 4 computer as backup?
Thanks
Congrats now you can play minecraft and have a dim light on for an extra 8 minutes.
Nice, thanks my dear
Imagine having a 12 volt ups for the ups
Can i use motorcycle battary as ups battary
Yes

Yes you can replace the lithium battery pac with the best BMS module.
u can replace with larger capacity bt consider introducing a fun to prevent over heating
