    The Raiders of the 70's will always be the most iconic Raiders teams. Tickets to the game back then were less than $10. Everyone could afford to go to an NFL game in the early to mid 70's.

    I'm not a Raiders fan, but this was the most spectacular offense I've ever seen, they could beat you with a hard run game or with 80 yard bombs...maybe New England 2007 it's as spectacular as Raiders 1976, but they lost the Super Bowl, the Raiders didn't...

    Take note of how many Hall of Famers were on the field that day!!!! Been a Raiders fan since 1973. I watched a lot of those games on NBC in Fresno , CA.

    Saw them play the Eagles in Veterans Stadium in 76 on a cold November Sunday. Raiders dominated the game.

    The playoff rivalry of the 70's Steeler/Raiders far surpasses any rivalry of the 80s,90s,2000s etc SF/Dallas never met five straight years in the 90s. They even swapped players Deion&Charles Haley, Raiders we're alway Raiders and the same with the Steelers.

    The clips of Davis and van Eeghen running on that great Steelers defense reminds me of the 2016 breakthrough game on Sunday night when that great o-line destroyed Denver's great defense at the Coliseum. Kept running the same play over and over and the Broncos couldn't stop it. That's greatness.

      Wonder if that's the game where Hue Jackson was the offensive coordinator and McFadden was literally stepping on the Denver back 7

      Stabler was a gunslinger, he didn't care who caught it he was going to sling it. Threw an NFL record 8 interceptions in a single game vs the Orange Crush the next year.

    As crazy as it sounds, I considered the first game against Pittsburgh as must win psychologically due to Pittsburgh's Super Bowl wins and their conference championship game wins over the Raiders. Note that Stabler threw for 342 yards against that defense, and the Raiders made plays to win that Pittsburgh often made then to win games (blocked punt and late game interception). Anyway, it was great to see, especially for a kid. It also never gets old.

      @@danzemacabre8899 The '76 team was better at QB, OL, and receiver, six Hall-of-Famers on offense alone. The '83 team had Marcus Allen and was stronger defensively with Long, Alzado and the young pass rushers, plus the CB tandem of Hayes and Haynes. '83 was less consistent because of the QB play. In the four losses Plunkett and Wilson combined for 14 INTs and 23 sacks.

      Man , I know! That pissed my dad off , he always declared the greatest unpickable game would have been the Stabler led Raiders vs the Staubach led Cowboys, the team with the lead with time on the clock was the team in trouble! Year after year they just missed but 77 was the year and the refs killed it in Denver

    Raiders now will never be like Raiders back than. Back than it was a true test of will and great showdowns
    Than it was who was the best. Now remember the courts said football was only for entertainment. So wwnfl allows refs to call whatever they want. Give the old blood and guts now anyday.

      4th in points scored, 12th in points allowed. One of the best offensive lines of all time. One of the best passing attacks of all time (Stabler, Branch, Biletnikoff, Casper), deep at RB (Mark van Eeghen, Clarence Davis, Pete Banaszack). The defense gave up yards at times but in the end no one was good enough to beat them except the Patriots (and they avenged that loss in the playoffs). That secondary (Willie Brown, Skip Thomas, Jack Tatum and George Atkinson) made it very hard for opposing offenses to keep up with the Raiders' scoring efforts.

    • @Fireyninjadog
      @Fireyninjadog 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good guys, but they didn't always play like how they should. They struggled against bad teams, and the defense kinda sucked. If ray Hamilton dosent get called for a legal hit by 1976 standards, they don't win the super bowl@@jacob9538
