When I go back to church it's been 6 months now. Wayyyyyyy....to along away from worship . Cova 19 has crippled our worship I love to sing praises w other church family members. Now if I cough once the room will scatter...Mask are a blessing wisdom much more to wear them for people we love ( nose and mouth). How I love Daigle s music and Smith s but being in church w others is comforting also so much and healing. Let s heal real soon , God knows our nation needs it. I was away from God and the church for around 15 years, and during that time is when pretty much every church has put on a much younger face, while mine grew old. I used to love singing the old hymns in the choir. It was then that I felt the Holy Spirit move me the most. I would6 often be brought to such an overwhelming joy, it took on a physical manifestation, giving me both tears and goosebumps. Like a lot of the cheesy romances, I was the girl who left Southern country and went to the big city up north for those 15 years, and I was lost that entire time. No friends, a stressful, fast paced but lucrative job, and trapped in a severely abusive relationship. My only link to God up there was an old fashioned church in North Carolina that streamed their Sunday services. This was long before zoom or Facebook and TH-cam live. But even that joy was robbed from me because "he" said I sang like a crow, and he didn't want to hear that $&!+. So, I came back home in the southp. I faced a bit of reverse culture shock when my daughter invited me to go to church with her. I was excited because I raised her in church. If the doors were open, we were there. They met in the cafeterias of the middle school because their small country church was about to burst at the seams because attendance grew so quickly. The old church filled again, but this time with babies and children. It had become the nursery for a congregation that had in a few short years grew from 100 to 500. So I went to church that first day, excited to be with my family in the house of the LORD. The worship team ( very talented people) began to sing, and my teeth hurt from clenching them so hard. This was CHURCH?? I didn't feel any goosebumps. What I did feel was assaulted! It was SOO loud! And the lead singer was just about screeching as she belted out the lyrics. It seemed like she thought it was the Sydney ( not her real bame) show, and the rest of the crew was her back up. It wasn't set up that way, but she was so forceful in the way she sang, the others finally just gave up and stopped trying to be heard. What a disaster! That made me want to run out and never look back like Lot did while leaving Sodom. I tried and tried, but that music caused such panic attacks that once it was finally over I couldn't focus on the sermon. I missed the old hymns so much. But no one was singing them any more. I even listened to Christian music on the radio whenever possible in the car to acclimate myself, and I began to get familiar, but in that church the acoustics were just horrible! So I began to stay home again, so when covid and the quarantines hit, I was already accustomed to being at home alone. In the meantime, the huge new church building that was being built got completed, but the state closed all churches. So the Pastor filmed sermons, and posted them on Facebook to keep his flock fed until WiFi could get wired up and turned on, the final thing to complete in the new building. The praise team is different now. Some new members have been added and the sound is so much sweeter now, because everyone knows their place on the team, and they work together much better. Listening from home, I control the volume, so its MUCH better. So my heart has been more opened and accepting of the new music. I'm sorry this is so long. Who wants to listen to some old widow prattle on about church music, and how I feel about it? But now (if you read this far) I will finally get to the point. I have just watched about 8 of your videos, and I see the Holy Spirit surging through you as if you were struck by lightning. Accompanied by your strong yet sweet voice and the most sincere lyrics I have heard in ages, my tears of joy are flowing, and the goosebumps are back!! Thank you sweet Jesus, I can worship freely again. Your singing is the key to the door that was locked for so long! Its like Moses, in Exodus, when he couldn't enter into the tent, and was cut off from God. But NOW I can, thanks to you! Praise God, this old widow would leap for joy if she was able to walk!! I look forward to watching more of your videos. Thank you so much for what you are doing. True salvation happens when you realize your faith will not bring you prosperity, ease, health, wealth, or victory at a certain point in your life, but will bring you to the foot of the cross of Jesus Christ. It’s a beautiful, harsh, unexplainable moment in a believers life and I remember the exact moment I realized my faith was a relationship not an exchange of services. Lord Jesus is top of the shelf. Nothing higher. Nothing more. He is everything.

The psalm 115 : 11-15, its written, that we are blessed, without willing His blessing we can not satesfy Him, because its His nature to bless us. That's why we have Grace. True salvation happens when you realize your faith will not bring you prosperity, ease, health, wealth, or victory at a certain point in your life, but will bring you to the foot of the cross of Jesus Christ. It’s a beautiful, harsh, unexplainable moment in a believers life and I remember the exact moment I realized my faith was a relationship not an exchange of services. Lord Jesus is top of the shelf. Nothing higher. Nothing more. He is everything.

It's the only song that is against my love to my God. Because He always wants to bless us and in this song, its like, you will not come to Him blessed. The psalm 115 : 11-15, its written, that we are blessed, without willing His blessing we can not satesfy Him, because its His nature to bless us. That's why we have Grace. He is the only God wants you to come for His blessing, He is a giver, not a taker. Jesus came to give life, that is the blessing we must ask, LIFE and we have life if we believe Him and honor Him with this faith. He loves to bless us.
