@@TheBoomshine If I may help, for you and anyone reading. I absolutely am not promoting a product. I have a buddy who is holistic MD. He recommended this specific probiotic for depression/anxiety: $50-$60 Amazon….Mega Sporebiotic. I didn’t ask why he picked that one.
It promotes itself as a probiotic that can survive gastric juices and reach your intestine AND it doesn’t need refrigerated.
This stuff worked so well for me I easily quit nicotine. I had no intention of stopping vaping, it just happened. I theorize the extra neurotransmitters I was getting from the gut micro biome replaced the ones I was losing from the nicotine.
I don’t know if the bacteria in these probiotics match the ones in the video. I’m only here to share my singular experience.
To answer the question above, I noticed it after 3-4 weeks.
Instructions on taking….take any time of day, with or without food, take one a day for two weeks, and then two a day every day after.

Don't get me wrong, I love watching these videos. Dr. Berg does take individual topics and makes them very easy to understand. The problem I find though is that there are so many interconnecting systems and so much variety and complexity among different types of vitamins, etc., it's hard to keep this all straight.

  • @rickrickrick369
    @rickrickrick369 5 ปีที่แล้ว

That's correct... And surely a lack in gut microbes can cause depression problems in the long run... But I think you should have a VERY altered intestine for weeks to trigger such problem by that alone... On the other hand, already compromised neurotransmitters can surely be affected immediately if your gut's microbes are low...

I used to have amazing gut flora. Then I started eating fast foods, soda, etc for a few years. Saw my health destroyed. Soda kills your gut. Fast food feeds you food-similar products, but its certainly NOT food. I ate specific things, always the same things and genetically started to fall apart. I didn't know what was happening, just thought I was working too hard, 18 hours a day, 2 jobs, stuff like that. Basically living on coffee. When I became aware of my lifestyle, I started supplimenting and eating healtheir. Also, will be making other changes. I've slowed down a lot and I'm seeing great improvements, thanks to the easy, intelligent and logical information from Dr. BERG. I've been able to do my own research and decide what is good for me, without it all being too complicated. I'm very grateful and believe this is the new future of holistic medical for the average person. I also meant to add that I developed "food allergies", which turned out to really be nutritional deficiencies. Couldn't digest foods. I no longer have those reactions and have been improving every day. Now, instead of consuming stimulants, I consume nutrients.

      Right on.
Alcohol - especially hard liquor - puts stress on the liver, temporarily increases liver excretions and mucus in the intestines, burns the stomach lining, and acts like an antiseptic killing gut microbes.
Coming down off a bender will see you having the screaming squirts, a stressed liver, and probably some anxiety and lethargy.

I can absolutely confirm the connection between anxiety/stress/anger and the gut. I have had ibs-c for over 20 years and over the years no matter what in the world I did I couldn’t get a handle on my growing frustration and anger issues, nor could I find lasting relief for my symptoms. Then I decided a few weeks ago to start trying hard to figure out the puzzle to fix my health issues and find some real healing. Through watching many of these videos I wound up trying the wheatgrass powder, magnesium and ACV in my diet, the adrenal pills, the gallbladder pills, and the D3/K2 pills. The ACV and gallbladder combination seemed to help my digestion a lot and for the first time I years felt relief for a few days in a row. That worked for about a week. Then it was only helping a few days a week. Now I’m lucky if it helps a couple days a week... and I can feel and tangibly observe this connection between my overwhelming anxiety and anger and what’s going on with my digestion. If only I could figure out the darn puzzle pieces that would work for more than a week maybe I could live happier and less anxious but I am so incredibly frustrated and borderline hopeless to have had something seem so amazing and then Just stop working before I truly got to enjoy it. Yeah, it’s definitely real... the worse the digestion, the more the anxiety and anger and stress. So overwhelming and disheartening.

So you are saying if you only have a diet soda once a week that your microbes will be destroyed? So many people are taking antidepressants for anxiety that it would be great if you can address these things further. Like what are specific things people with anxiety should take and avoid. Things like that. Thanks Dr Berg!

Love your videos, dr. Berg. They’re always very informative. I’ve had a lot of antibiotics since 9/11 happened as I was 2 blocks away from the twin towers and continued working after the city reopened after one week. I’d run high fevers and the docs had no idea what to do with me. They could only prescribe antibiotics for me to get rid of the unexplained fever and infection in the body. My gut suffered due to frequency ingesting antibiotics. I’m for many years, diarrhea prone. I’ve taken probiotics Garden of Life’s Raw probiotics for women 50 and wise, but good results still escape me. I also developed chronic atopic dermatitis, psoriasis and complicated fungus like condition in my feet, resulting in thick scales, deep cuts and fissures due to the gut issues. Nobody has diagnosed and treated me effectively but your videos and my personal research helped me diagnose my disease. I’m just given topical steroids to cope with the skin problem in the feet and when it gets worse, I’m prescribed antibiotics, again. The dermatologists that I’ve seen for the last many years have declared my condition incurable. Due to the ongoing skin condition, I’m not able to exercise more than half hour a day, therefore I’m very overweight, although I’m not a big eater. I’ve also under active thyroid disease since 9/11. I’m carrying 164lbs on a 5’2 body. Could you please suggest the very good brands of probiotics that you emphasize on and how many one should take per day and whether one should increase or decrease the intake as one starts these good brands of probiotics? I’d appreciate your help in advance. I’ve given you so much detail about my situation in the comment section as I’m inspired by your knowledge and information and also you helped someone recently lose over 60lbs following your advice. By the way, I eat healthy, organic foods and despite my weight, I maintain healthy cholesterol with good levels in LDL and HDL, triglycerides. Do you have a website I could go to to write to you more in detail, please? Thanks so very much in advance!

He has a video where he discusses 23 (I think it is 23) health problems and the nutritional deficiencies that cause them. You should check it out.

This is very interesting for sure. Dr Berg has an amazing way to break things down. I would like to learn more about the guy bacteria relationship as I have been suffering with various digestive issues for some time.

Good video but too short most people don't know anything about probiotics and prebiotic.

Awesome video, thanks! If you're interested in this video, you may also be interested to know that when the gut microbiome is out of balance, it typically has 2 characteristics: low production of butyrate-producing bacteria, and overgrowth of bad bacteria! The more you know!

I suffer from anxiety and high stress levels. I stopped taking nexium and have been taking probiotics for 2 weeks and something odd is happening. As i sit at work and stare out the window i feel nostalgic and the world seems like it used to when i was kid. I dont even know if i can identify as being happy because its been so long. Something is going on.

Is there a way to measure the gut microbiome level? Can we find out what is the missing bacterium and address the problem with respective action?
