Every time I see one of these pop up I am so excited to see cards I’ve never seen before mixed in with cards I have seen and the historical significance of them in the meta!
Sylvan Caryatid is still one of the greatest mana dorks ever printed. It's an unboltable bird that powered out so many Stormbreath Dragons and Siege Rhinos that there were legitimately people calling for it to be banned.
One of my favourite old school 0/3’s is Phyrexian Walker, a card played WAY back in the days of the Fruity Pebbles combo decks, and flimsy Glimpse of Nature decks like Moldy Cheerios. Being free material is cool… even if the text box is all flavour 😂😂😂
Kind of surprised to not see Snubhorn Sentry. It top 8ed multiple Pro Tours. Also, the Block (14) score for Sylvan Caryatid is funny. The only event for Theros block was Pro Tour Journey into Nyx, and sure enough Sylvan Caryatid was a 4-of in 7 of the top 8 decks.
The *scape familar cycle is one of my favorite cycles.. It's not like.. amazing mechanically (though it's pretty neat in commander), but I just love that when designing them they had the option to go for the typical cat, dog, toad, bird type familiars and then for everyone except stormscape they went 'nah, Wall, Zombie, Kavu, Rhino Beetle' Wall is the best kind of familiar type.
Magus of the Moat is a fun troll card to build around for casual. I have a couple buddies that enjoy "battlecruiser" Magic. You know, big bodies, expensive creatures...Mostly on the ground :D Fun to play that vs them.
You've done some good O/X lists. How about a 4+/1 list? Not sure where the tipping point between "too many" and "too few" would be but there are plenty of one-shot hasted wonders that serve to remind players why "First Strike" is better than they think.
How did Treefolk Harbinger fare in this list? I thought it would be somewhere in the mid at least bec its a 1 mana 0/3 that searches forests or treefolk... and was used along Doran back in its standard Does that add on top of library make it too slow?
Ahhh the 0/3, it's definitely a statline. It's also the exact opposite of the rating I would give Baldur's Gate 3. It came out today and I am insanely hyped, maybe even as hyped as I am for "Top 10 Vintage Cards (Minus Power 9)"!
@@nathanl8622 In most cases if the game needs to use a negative number it'll round up to zero instead. As of 2017 or so, f you "gain life equal to its power", you'll gain 0 life instead of losing 1 life. The negative power only matters for tracking pump effects.
so normally i wouldn't mention this but this list would be shaken up quite a bit more than most if Commander were added to it than most of your other lists. for example besides Rielle jumping up a lot due to actually being a commander, both Sunscape Familiar and Axebane Guardian would probably be fighting the Caryatid for first place as both are found in any eligible Defender decks and the Familiar in many more Bant decks beyond that. whereas something like the Staticcaster would drop significantly. it's an interesting thing to think about.
He normally does take Commander into account though a single point from any event should trump any point a card may get from a mostly non-competitive format like Commander.
Saw the title of this video and thought "Ah, finally, my best friend Arboreal Grazer gets his day in the sun".

An interesting top 10 would the top 10 statlines itself I would very interested in see the best statlines in the game
7:48 Finally! She combines perfectly with Polymorphist's Jest to do a one-sided board wipe!

Phyrexian Walker remains one of my key cards in my Mortuary/Fecundity infinite combo deck! 😊 ALL WHO SEE THE WALKER WILL TREMBLE IN FEAR
Walker has points, just not nearly enough of them. Check the Vanilla Creatures list for more info.

Nizza, have you done Top Ten players who earned a lot of points?
Never once have I ever used Tinder Wall to deal two damage to something. 😂 6:18
I know. Amazing card in the G/R Ramp-and-Blast decks of that era (you know, when creatures sucked).
Thank you for the content- I subscribed and became a member to help your channel grow.
Awesome, thank you!

4:07 How does this deck work? How are you getting back both Flicker and Snap by bouncing one Archeomancer?

Wonder if Tinder Wall is on here? Very strong card for decks that want bursts of mana.
Most every card I expected but not in the order I would have thought
How did Treefolk Harbinger fare in this list? I thought it would be somewhere in the mid at least bec its a 1 mana 0/3 that searches forests or treefolk... and was used along Doran back in its standard
Does that add on top of library make it too slow?
Just donate an archon of imagination. Now none of their creatures can attack
Really miss your streams and draft videos. I hope all is well!
You should do a top 10 on cards with a power and toughness difference of 5 or more. (If enough of those exist)
Wow didn't think izzet static caster was played anywhere near that much
What is the rules for a card like symmetry mage who sees play in historic rebalanced as a 0/3 but the original printing is 0/2
disappointed Phyrexian Walker didn't make it on here, that's my favorite card
Seeing as 2 of the creatures are crabs, I wonder how long it'll take to print enough crabs to crab tribal deck to emerge.
I wonder how many crabs we'll see
Okay, for once I can 100% tell the number one is gonna be the landfall crab that mills. I forgot his name though
Wow, not even top 3. Imma gonna cry a bunch

Doesn't Moat allow Islandwalk to attack through?
You're thinking of Island Sanctuary.
@@matthewgagnon9426 ahh. I forgot there was another.
Did you consider Char-Rumbler for this list? It's a -1/3 p/t, so technically a 0/3
How is that technically a 0/3? -1 is a different number, and the game treats them as different numbers.

@@nathanl8622 what Kit said.
Arboreal Grazer?
Edit:
Still up there huh?

Top 10: Dies to Cut Down
I absolutely loved the video (and the channel) and I don't wanna be that guy, but "magus" is not pronounced like "mages"
