Nice job! The bundler I made a ton of bundles on the one I built like this, very cost effective way to get started in the bundle business.
Thanks TC! More work than you current set up but it's definitely cost effective!
I did same as you, borrowed Brad and Tony's plans, but then realized 12 x 12 when ya make it with firewood and not kindling is just too heavy for most people that stop by my stand. Ended up just modifying it 9x9 to make it easier on clients. See how things work out, keep it up!!
Stand looks great, love how ya ripped everything out of what ya had laying around and didnt have to buy materials. Cheers -Jack
I guess there probably is a happy medium in there somewhere... With what I bundled up so far they didn't seem that heavy but that's me and not someone who drives a desk for work either. Ill just have to see I guess. Did you have any feedback after going to a smaller bundle?
@@CentralMinnesotaFirewood nope, they're just easier to handle being smaller.
👍👍
Nice bundler thanks for sharing!!!
Thinking about getting into selling a few bundles myself. I don’t have a pickup or trailer, and don’t have a big enough property to harvest much wood from, so I paid $800 for a triaxle of logs, about 4 cords oak, 1 cord black birch, 1 cord honey locust and 1 cord hickor. I split with 8# maul and It took me about 80 hours to buck the triaxle of logs to 18” lengths and to split and stack it. I’m gonna try selling 2.25 cf bundles of hickory for $12 ea, hopefully make enough to pay for the logs and have enough wood remaining to heat the house for two years for “only” the 80 hours labor lol
Thanks for the comment! I think your plan sounds awesome! The load you got is a prime heating load that's for sure, hope you can sell all you want!
I like it buddy, keep cuttin'!
@@travisdoesfirewood thanks Travis
That's a big bundle. 9x12x16 =12x12x12.
I want to sell a little bigger bundle than the others offered locally. I am ok selling a little more for the same price to get started
Hi Eli, looks like you made yourself a really nice bundler. Great job. Thanks for sending me the Mn. Firewood info. We have had company and I haven’t had a chance to get to a forestry center. So are you giving a free bundle of kindling for purchasing a face cord? Keep selling. You’re doing way better than myself with sales. Keep in touch.
No problem on the MN info. I did give away a free bundle of kindling on the last face cord. I think I will keep trying to do that for the time being, with making sure I remember to mention because they were a 1st time customer. I don't really want to do that for no reason or no compensation for the effort. I have sold a few bundles this week, seems pretty good for a guy who has no IDEA what he's doing lol
