Lovely colors, good coverage, and I don't feel like I need to be precious with them. I like the Liquitex Basics for the same reason. Honestly, I can't even tell the difference between the two, lol. I have the same heat tool, and it's about as old as yours too. I'm so impressed with this workhorse for lasting this long. Yours is prettier though. Only kind they had in my stores back then was this kinda dirty maroon with gold glitter mixed in. Does a great job - just not super cute, lol. It's loud too, but dang it works fast. We didn't have a lot of choices of heat guns back then, huh? It was either this embossing kind or trying to manage a heavy-duty, paint-remover kind. But because you and other mixed-media artists showed how you used them for fast-drying paint on paper, the crafting companies got on top of it, and now we have quieter, less "Careful, you're gonna bubble your paint" versions. 🥰 Thank you for showing the Neocolor I's. I've always been curious, but since I don't do a lot of scribbling in my art journals, I never tried them. You can see how they're much more vibrant than the Neocolor II's when scribbled. Makes sense, since the Neocolor II's are waxy watercolors, so they don't show their vibrancy until the water hits them. Plus, watercolor, aka meant to be transparent. But dang those Neocolor I's are beautiful from the jump.

I have that heat tool and like it a lot; it works well. Ooh, I'm going to give that olive green deep a go. I don't use green much either, but lately I've found myself wanting to find a nice dirty, muted green to try. Also, next time I order neocolors, I'm definitely going to be a rebel and go with the 1's. 😄I don't have a need for activating them either.
Yess I'm enjoying the 1's a lot! The others I still use occasionally if I want to add acrylics on top, but for anything that goes as a final layer or is just crayons, Neocolor I all the way!

It also helps them to know they need to pack them more carefully and it's nicer for you if you get a little bit refunded or so. Anyway, enjoy the play, am looking forward to see what you'll make with these.
You're so right about the packaging. I did contact them and they offered me a 20% refund on the crayons, and also asked for details about how things were packaged so they could give feedback to their staff. I was very impressed with their response.
oh yummy supplies dear and yes I would say something as they must have been damaged in shipping so not packed properly is not a nice way to to receive products for sure , love the colors you choose .

wow wow wow these colors why was i ever crazing colorful candy when i can just buy juicy colors and paint.

Thank you! They are nail polish stickers by Maniko. I finish them off with a gel top coat (cured under UV light) so they last a couple of weeks.
