HELLO KISSY! Two things FYI: 1. YES, we did film reactions to “Maestro of My Heart”! I just wanted to edit our reaction to “Get Loud” first since it was released a little bit more recently, and lately i’ve been feeling extra guilty over how we always react to songs so late T-T ik this reaction is still kinda late TT-TT but not as late as usual!!!! 2. This reaction is introducing two of our newest reactors joining us for S8 of Classical Musicians React: Honor and Helen! Honor is a current first year grad student and Helen is a current third year undergrad student, both are flute performance majors at Eastman and have been into K-Pop since ~2017-2018! So it was extra fun filming this video since Helen knew KISS OF LIFE's discography so well already
I LOOVE love Get Loud! it's my new favorite KoF title track, so I'm feeling a little bittersweet to see it being overshadowed by Igloo -- which is also a GREAT song, not complaining as they deserve all that hype -- because as you guys recognize it here, the arrangement of Get Loud is soo so interesting. I do expect more in the end as I think an increase in energy, not only through adlibs which is as is (or high notes) but maybe through a new drum pattern or the highlight of a different instrument can really make it even better of a song closure. nevertheless, all of the modal mixtures, chromatic uses, and linear drumming throughout the song already make it such an interesting and good song. I also lovee love this reaction! always appreciate when you guys breakdown each section and analyze or point out what caught your attention on each. and I love Helen & Honor already! them giving examples / explaining what they mean through their flutes really help me in understanding it. can't wait to see more of them in future reactions! ❤

Can I just say, first, for the FIRST time ever? Second, I loved this song very much, especially the harmony in the background. It was very lovely, but I also, personally, felt like the vocals could have been more toward during the chorus(specifically the last one) but doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it any less. Love seeing your guys' input, definitely helps me identify music on a deeper and better understanding❤❤❤
It felt strange to me that a song literally called "Get Loud" would have such a medium-volume (and kind of medium-impact, imo) chorus. I didn't love that.
.. i died at the chanting to the phone 😭 but seriously I struggled to express all the reasons I love this track SO MUCH, thank you for giving us immediate demonstrations of the coolest parts and the correct language :)
