Should have spent money to update performance eg, better coilovers, better brakes, lighter alloys, engine tune, engine air intake upgrade. If you want to go further you can refurb engine with gt3 parts.
Nicely done, for sure, though I wager it would have been better to simply buy a 996 GT3 as they're not that expensive any more. That way you wouldn't be stuck with the old 3.4L mill, for one. Not sure about the UK, but here in the US 996 GT3's can be had in the low $40k range.
low 40K range? if you do find one please send it me a link. Low $50K maybe for not desired colors, tracked, and pinned pipes. 996 GT3 have been rising in value for last year, and in my opinion will keep on climbing. Meizger engine and last analog watercooled pcar.
Things were looking brilliant until about 30 secs from the end…. oh dear!!! All that effort and awesome engineering to make something look so shocking !!!
Jay Wynn . It looks a hell of a lot better than it did. personally I think it will look even better in the flesh. Get a post of yours on here and then we will compare!
Lots of good work on show here, but is it a gt3 rs conversion without gt3 rs brakes, suspension, engine etc? I'd say it was gt3 rs lookalike for sure but that's it.
An amazing job son! truly the best one done yet. Now get your website up and running! A couple of Q's, did you source new 997 rear guards? or make use of the original ones and stretch them out? And can you ship out to NZ the front guard(fender) and hood? I need those three pieces! Also, a dvd with the build in more detail? a dvd tutorial would sell well id bet! Anyways, beautiful work, you should be very proud, well done!
Great work technically but I don’t understand why you used a 996 to make a Gen.2 RS replica? No matter how good you get the interior you can’t fix the interior as it has the old dash. I would have gone with either a 997 donor or built a 996 GT3RS with that 996 donor car. But great technical work nonetheless.
great now the ims bearing will go you were better off buying a nice 996 turbo there awesome car for about $50k with everything you want and most likely to go up in value soon
@@Peter-ff1tp clown, I have a 1974 911s and 993 carrera S 1995... the 996 is much better in several aspects those 2... and ugly, nothing, it was in production for more than 7 years for a reason.
Heads up turn your volume down to zero while watching this video like I did and spoiler alert... the end car is not worth all the effort I don't think I like my stock 996I still get tons of compliments on it The way it comes from the factory just keep it really clean
But why. At least base in on a Turbo or something? Make a GT2 instead? But a base-911 with 300hp made into a 450hp track monster look alike? WHY? And a 997.2? You skipped 2 generations? Cmon.
Finally had to mute this stupid music. Also, maybe just a before and after shot side by side? Or at the very least a shot of the finished product that last longer than a 2 second clip?
Beautiful workmanship.
Fabulous craftsmanship :)
My god...this music made me want to stab myself in the eardrums with a fork...AHHHH!!!!
RC000E so did you do it?
@@johnmichaeltwist5086 huh😒???
Looks pretty good.

soundtrack kılling me

You're right, my apologies, it must have been quite some time since I last checked prices.
How is the price in 2020 😂 wish I bough one 5 years ago.

Jay Wynn I agree. It started with the seats. That is what killed it for me.

no offense intended…. I just have a standard 997 C2.
Esa música...... Me dejó tocado amigo...... Tocado
the door handles needs to go and if they can fit a 997 dash and doorcards it will look awsome

It looks like 997 .I like this tail lights.
Awesome job... That is so nice

I’m pretty sure a second grader created the soundtrack on their iPhone with Garage Band.
Thank You Jonathan, we have some more in the pipeline, keep watching and please tell your friends.
So u left the motor the same?
She will still be a fun ride
Nice job!
The again one would have to do a 4.0 engine from a 3.8 with all GT3 components plenum and intake
IMHO Spoiler is too tall
How much for total conversion gt3
Many thanks
great now the ims bearing will go you were better off buying a nice 996 turbo there awesome car for about $50k with everything you want and most likely to go up in value soon
It's an awesome transformation. Unfortunately the car is still a 996.
Nice work
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So how hard was the front end to convert? Did it bolt relatively easy on?
Bad soundtrack, car looks good, but what about engine? Any mods there or just a pretty looking 996.1
wow a lot of work!! Why not just take a 997 4S to a GT3 RS
Might as well got the gt3
great job but i love my 4S the way it is.
soundtrack blow my mind
is a foolery to transform 996 into one gt3 997, 996 is beautiful..would never do that to me Carrera 4S 996.
Says everyone who can only afford the 996.
No shame in it. The 996 is the ugly duckling. The one blip since ‘63 in the beauty that is the 911.

oh man.... so much toil!
Love the work, but was never a fan of 'replica' or 'tribute' cars....would have been cool to do a different take on it.
what is the total cost?
Heads up turn your volume down to zero while watching this video like I did

Better title would be: 996 to 997 GT3 RS conversion
I know right!
y transform an already good looking car?
Cost???
you was drunk when put this music?
Doner?
$50,000 later
Than you need the engine. I dont know if it will work for Porsche
But why. At least base in on a Turbo or something? Make a GT2 instead? But a base-911 with 300hp made into a 450hp track monster look alike? WHY? And a 997.2? You skipped 2 generations? Cmon.

Looks best @8:55 mns
All that effort and you put red wheels on it ... smh..
normal door
yes normal doors, GT3 doesn't have Lambo doors.
agree still a crappy 996 with problematic engine
Wow, so much work to produce a car that looks like shite.
Why bother?
Soundtrack and interior are dreadful
Nice car but its fake so waist of money.
its still a real porsche, and plus a 996 is like $15,000 and a GT3 is much more
996 in a dress.
Why in the world spending money for a fake look?
Bo kurwa może ?
Terrible music
Get a real GT3 instead!
