Another tip I would add is: think about the damage a turn or two ahead, and add it up. When you go second a sandshrew can beat a mewtwo ex. Deal 10, take 0, evolve into sandslash, deal 70, take 50, deal another 70 for a total of 150 over three turns.
These tips also apply to the paper TCG 🙂. Tip #2 is called "sequencing". Tip #5's high HP Pokémon are called "tanks" and sometimes "main attacker". Great video!
Great vid, great advice. I think tip 5 is maybe the most important in my opinion. Knowing when to retreat your heavy hitter so that you're guaranteed to have lethal damage on a later turn is very important in some games. Another is just knowing retreat costs/what opponent can do. Sometimes it's better to just swing into a big EX Pokemon even if it can crack you back to kill your Pokemon because there are situations where if they do this, they will just lose the game. Forcing your opponent to waste energy by putting pressure on them is a tempo loss for them and since there are no comeback mechanics in the game really, this often is backbreaking and wins the game on the spot. Race math comes into play here for sure. Tho, racing in Pokemon Pocket is much different than HS or Magic or other games :) Thanks for the upload and great tips, Pokemaster Ninaisnoob
Playing around red card is the my personal bane of competitive play in open deck list format. I would like to hold onto my basic pokemon in hand, but I have to strategize and predict if red card coming out is a possibility.
best way to actually win: step 1) build a shrine step 2) open packs daily and pray at shrine until you get the best cards step 3) build solid deck, pray at shrine step 4) make 1 sacrifice at the shrine to the RNG gods. just one, they HATE receiving more than 1 offering. step 5) win the battle.
At first I was just a mere trainer with some top percentile Rattata cards. But now, thanks to Nina's video, I am now the PTCG Pocket champion of the Johto region. Thanks Nina! - Youngster Joey
Pro tip: Just get lucky with the coin flips :)
That’s the best tip 🤣
As a Marowak enjoyer, I agree
haven't had good luck with Misty yet...
hope I can one-turn kill next...
nah wait 5 seconds thank me later😂😂😂🎉

One of the best tips I've gotten so far was to use fossil tech to counter Sabrina. Thanks for the video ❤
early sabrina to trap their high retreat mon is so satisfying to bait out their energy placement

I didn’t know the proper terms 🙈

i hate that card so much! it forces me to play out my cards as soon as draw them when it would be more optimal to hold on to them.
@@PokéNinaa I personally see less red card in PVP and non competitive play, but it is for sure a staple in most tournament decks.
Thank you oh captain my captain!

Idk the offering is RNG sometimes they want only one and some other times they want more than one😭😭😭
You forgot to pray to the shrine during steps 4 and 5
Thanks now I'm infinite ranked!

These are good tips!
Are you going to make a video on deck building too?
Appreciate you and loved you in the Spragels tournament
i got knocked out round 1 😭
Nice video very helpful.
Is it just me? Or is Misty the most useless card in the game? I got it 4 days ago and it still hasn't landed a single heads 😂
I swear she’s rigged 😭
@PokéNinaa unless it's purely awful luck on my part 🤷 but I've had apponents land 8 in a row 😂
First
Pay money.
Just what I needed 😆 great tips and thank you for the video 🤍
