You know its easier to tell this characters that they are dumb because you are not in the situation , Use your head and just appreciate the anime , that incident happening is for the plot , you should realize this by now.

No it's really not. For Kohaku there is not a 100% chance of knowing if what Mantle said is true or not. As audience we know it's a lie and yes Kohaku thinks Mantle is lying too but on the off chance that he's not, then she is leaving Suika to die. If anything it shows Kohaku's character that even if it's the smallest of chances she will not do anything to compromise the life of her loved ones which also parallels to the fact that she is willing to do anything for Ruri. Another thing is that it shows how much she trusts Senku and the others to still win despite her not making it.
@@bzzztbzzzt2428 not really, I think it´s the opposite actually, she´s showing a lack of trust in Senku and Chrome by not believing them when they call out Mantle for being a liar
I know it makes sense for her character to overthink it and check for herself but it´s still pretty dumb that she KNOWS he´s lying but still leaves and gets disqualified for it
i think you’re forgetting that kohaku was a meathead, shes all brawn and no brains this been shown many times, ofc she went with her gut in that moment
