Installing LED Lights on the IH 1086

- With the AC repair going on, it was the perfect time to install the LED light that I had purchesed from Amazon. This is just a quick video on how I did the installation. Hope you enjoy.
Those LED light bars are great! Can't believe how much difference one made on my combine.
I agree, I switched all the lights on my combine and added a 42" flood spot bar light and we can play full court basketball, lol.

oh man, these led lights are amazing! the first time i put them on the combine i was like a whole new world combining at night!
remember guys adding 4-6 extra halogens back in the day and then you would have to add relays or they burn up the switch or wiring.
I remember those days, when I got done putting the LEDs on my combine we could play a full court basketball game if we had the 2nd hoop, lol. Thanks for watching.
Youll like that light. Makes life alot easier when you can see. I really like the shrink tube connectors. Menards is the cheapest place ive found them

That light will be a great addition. I agree with what someone else has already said though, you’re likely to want it tilted down a little lower, I know that’s going to be a pain to do, and maybe you won’t need to. I put a similar light bar above the windshield of my combine, and liked it so much I replaced every other light on the thing with leds. I think there’s 12 total on it now, looks like a UFO someone said once that drove by at night. It’s like daylight 360 degrees around. The reason I say you may want it tilted down so more, you don’t get that distant light with those leds as you do with HID’s or even topnotch halogens, but it’s a brighter whiter light up close. My newer tractor has HID’s, not quite as bright right up close but can see farther away. I like the led’s just a touch better. You’ll notice, especially in beans that it’ll look like it’s snowing all the time... led’s have a flicker that you won’t notice until the dust is in the air, and it creates a strobe effect that makes the dust seem to move in slow motion like light snow. If you get a flicker that IS really noticeable, it’s usually an indicator of a poor ground, not that you should have that problem with that nice wiring job you did with good connectors. This won’t be your last LED light install. I replaced em all on my 8440 deere 4wd as well, it gets to be an addiction.
I have not noticed any flickering but I make sure that the connections are really good. I think it was 48" curved LED on my 660p combine and it is pointed about 60' and it is still very bright. I also put the same ones on the Kubota M-7060 front and back. It lights up alot of area. So far I have had pretty good luck with them shinning out along ways. I will eventually get to the rest of the lights. Thanks for watching and commenting.
L E D lights upgrade is one of the best upgrades I have made to my 1086. I replaced all the original lights with LEDs on my tractor. You will like the LEDs.
I nee to night the bullet and get the rest of the round light. I just didn't want to pay that much for them. I need to look to see if I can find a better deal on them. I have loved how the combine and my Kubota is with the LED lights. Thanks for watching.

Most likely you're going to want that light pointing down a little bit lower.
Probably, but I have other lights on the tractor also. Will have to see what it looks like when all the lights are on. I think I'm pretty close. I have already tilled it down a bunch.
