A king on his throne - Levon Eikenboom

Hmm.. This is a turmoil song. I wrote the lyrics and music for this song at 3 in the morning. I originally wrote this as a guitar song, with more of a lullaby feel to it (musically at least). The meanings of the lyrics to this song are vast, yet at the same time very centered. It's mainly about the political divide in this country and being deceived by someone (like a politician). People think they are voting for someone who cares.. someone who will bring those "gold" luxuries. when in the end, you see they are "a king on a throne" and "throw you out of the way." I've seen many people lose "lifelong friends" over the past several years from the political drama in the world. - Levon Eikenboom 2024
