    Ya got the two top hands there... I’m gonna look to see if that machine pulses.
    Getting pulse on pulse down pat on a mig machine does some pretty work especially aluminum.

      No pulse on that machine. Our 253dpi masters it.

    Hey!
    Why don’t you do a 353DP review/ how to. That’s my next machine if you can make me think it will do the kind of work I want. Aluminum tank and hull work that looks like tig work. No smoke... no buckshot.
    I’m patiently waitin.

    Great video Bob and Jesse! Would be awesome to see you guys run some stick electrodes and spoolgun thru with this unit. But to mess with the bossman - Mark Lugo- here is direct quote from him " no work clamp in sight"... LOL. Keep up the good work posting these videos please, And we love your humor! Happy to join & subscribe to the "Bob and Jesse fan club" :)

    Have a question about the 140E Mig/Flux Core Welder. So in the manual it says to not use an extension cord longer than 25ft with the 140E welder. Then it goes on to say that if you use a extension cord for it to be 10 gauge and no longer than 50 ft. So this is confusing. My issue is will using an extension cord that is lets say 50 ft long and 10 gauge damage the machine. These comments by everlast in the manual contradict each other. Everlast needs to address these extension cord contradictory statements in the manual. Either you can use an extension cord or you cant. If you can then the correct size and length needs to be STATED CLEARLY. Not one statement saying you cant use extension cords longer than 25 ft and then another statement saying you can use an extension cord no longer than 50 feet and 10 gauge.

    You try any aluminum with the mig torch and the replacement liner at all ?

    • @EChunter
      @EChunter ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty typical of everlast , no service after the sale at all , widely known as some of the worst customer service of all the chineese welder brand.

  • @marklugo6002
    @marklugo6002 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Of course it is up to operator's preference ultimately, but the units are designed for about 60 to 75% inductance for optimum balance. I teach our users with 65 to 75% and they typically like it.

    Even in welding school, we were told running down hill was weaker than uphill. Maybe true if your technique is wrong. Maybe slow down a bit and/or adjust settings and you should be fine.

    • @notanymore9471
      @notanymore9471 ปีที่แล้ว

      In general yes, but you can run downhill on thinner material with no issues, in fact downhill is usual practice in the sheet metal fab world, that’s what is done most if not all of the time. As long as you keep the arc out in front of the puddle you are fine.

    • @notanymore9471
      @notanymore9471 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MJ-nd7cj to be honest my feeling is if the material is thick enough that you need to run uphill you should not be using short arc MiG and should be running a 7018 anyways. Most MiG I run downhill and short arc MiG really shouldn’t be used on thicker than 1/4 in most cases. Just my opinion though.
