Aviana Aircraft Detailing is off to DC to work on a Piper PA-46 Meridian.
We start with a no-rinse aircraft wash, then do a few test areas to determine the best paint correction combo for this oxidized paint. We Clean and disinfect the flight deck and go in detail on how to clean aircraft leather seats.
After finishing up the paint correction, and ceramic coating the paint, we take a break at the Air and Space Museum in Chantilly, VA to pay homage to the space shuttle.
Next episode we go to Fredrick, MD, at the AOPA Headquarters to work with Tom Haines on his aircraft while educating the masses on aircraft detailing.
I love the way you celebrate your work! Dedicated!
Usually celebrations involve copious amounts of sleep! Thanks for watching!
I will definitely see that mirror finish on the underside of the wing, I’m an aircraft maintenance mechanic. 👍
That plane looks amazing!
Thanks!
Keep the videos coming, these are great. I would love to see a really filthy aircraft get sorted if you ever get asked to do one of them.
Thanks! Luckily/Sadly we don't come across a lot of filthy aircraft :) If you know any, send them our way!
If you were in the U.K. there would be plenty to choose from as a very large percentage of our light aircraft live outside and not in a hangar.
Line em up! Our ceramic coating is made in the UK actually!
I might have a filthy one coming up for you in a few weeks!
Hello, I’m a big fan of how you do a dry clean. Can I know what products are you using ?
Check out this video th-cam.com/video/I0OkUkdZSz0/w-d-xo.html - products in description
Hi Aviana Aircraft Detailing... Great video.
Regarding ceramic coating application, is a polish / compound step 'always' required prior to application of the ceramic coating.
If the aircraft / vehicle was is good condition without oxidation and the surface was clean, would NOT performing a correction prior to applying the ceramic coating be detrimental to the longevity of the ceramic coating?
Also... how long does the battery last on the rotary polisher?
Thank you.
Good question! I look at paint correction as an important surface prep step. You could coat without it, but I wouldn't want to stand behind the longevity of the product. Like sanding before painting, you ensure a consistent finish for the coating.
The rotary battery last about half a 70% of a cirrus wing :) less if doing heavy cutting. You can generally get by with 3 batteries for non-stop operation.
What is the "pen" at 25'25 ? Is it white paint for correcting around the screw? Thanks again for your great vidéos!
Jean-Philippe MALO it’s a paint touch up pen, that little white tip is an abrasive sanding tip
@@@AvianaAircraft Many thanks. Hope new video soon ;-)
I’m working on another meridian video!
@@@AvianaAircraft Sounds good!
I signed up for 4 days advanced courses at Realclean aircraft detailing (Aurora, not so far from you) for April. I would like to start a business in my caribbean island and around. Our planes are always outside (no hangar), under the sun and heavy rains...;-)
sorry to hear that. They will just teach you how to use their stuff, and not even all that well to be honest. I have worked along people who have taken those classes and there is much left to be desired.
@@AvianaAircraft Outch: bad news for me!...I can't go back...What are your advices to learn the job? I know it's a craftsman's job which need practice and practice...but, what is the path for a beginner?
@@cdohbt That class will be good for a beginner, but you need to evolve from there. The direction you take from there depends largely on what type of work you want to do afterwards. Doing paint corrections and coatings is very different than servicing large corporate jets for quick turns. Feel free to shoot me an email and we can chat more. mehrdadse@gmail.com
@@AvianaAircraft Thanks..I sent you an email ;-)
I'm a recent subscriber so forgive me if you've already answered this question; what ceramic coating do you use for the aircraft you work on?
I do auto detailing as a side hustle but am also a private pilot...I wonder if you're using the same type of coatings that would be used for cars or if there is a specific product for aircraft.
Really enjoy the videos...keep up the good work!!
Hey thanks for following! Detailing is a dangerous side hustle, if you are not careful it might turn into your main gig! We generally use Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra.
Very nice job.
Thanks for watching!
what did you use in your hand to clean the seat?
The scrubber? amzn.to/2Qg3pxY
What is the price range on a pa 46?
Starting $3500. exact pricing is dependent on location ,condition, etc. Shoot me a message or submit quote request at aviana-detailing.com/contact/

So... Ken is not keto. LOL
Nicely done
Thanks!
