I have been wanting to do this for a while. I'm going to make it happen this weekend.
Have you tried, or thought about using an extra kite leash as a quick release for the rope connected to the harness? That would give two hands for the bar?

This also works of course. It‘s only important to not go to high. At one point the boat will pull you down, that’s dangerous than… Because the kite frontstals…
