Are your feed dogs up or down while you are using the walking foot for quilting?

Probably not so easy to do on an actual quilt. Nobody ever does an actual quilt in these tutorials.

Weeks Ringle of modern quilt studio does have a lap quilt size that she uses for walking foot quilting. You can find it on the modern quilt studio TH-cam channel.
I've used her technique on larger quilts and it works well for me
