  • In 1997 Robert Kiyosaki published a personal finance book called Rich Dad Poor Dad. The book instantly became a phenomenal success and in no time catapulted Kiyosaki, to the world of fame. In one of his books, he mentions that there is a disparity between being Rich and being Wealthy. And he went on and said something surprising that the “Rich” have lots of money, but the “Wealthy” don’t worry about money.

That’s not totally true, but I understand what you’re saying. Bill Gates was arrested for running a stop sign and speeding in his foreign car and posted bail within minutes. Mr. gates himself jokes that he didn’t have a very good driving record back then. Had he been that same kid during today’s time, he too would have been accused of immaturity. But folks mature at different rates.

If your passive income goes up, so too does your life style. Also, rather than buying flashy expensive things. Buying durable basics that you don't replace often.

Maybe work 2-3 days a week if you get bored or want something to do. 3 days work 4 days off (if you enjoy your job this is) Perfect.

To me the difference is rich people have high incomes but it doesn't necessarily mean they own anything that will generate income. Which means they will continue to have to trade their time for that money. When they sleep, they make no money, when they pass away, the money stops.
Wealthy people might not have as much liquid cash laying around, but they own things that are valuable that make money for them, whether that be a business, real estate, investments, royalties, or belongings that appreciate over time.
Great video. I love these animated videos because I have my 12 year old daughter watch them anytime she asks for money. I quiz her after and if she passes, I'll get her what she asks me for. This one will be next.

While most part may be true I'd like to point out something. Society has set a social construct whereas wealth is defined by the material possession one has. But in truth wealth is been healthy, having a good relationship with friends and family and having the freedom to chase ones dream. So no wealth is not defined by material possession. People are just to weird. They rather want to look rich than be rich. Having material possession doesn't mean your wealthy it's just means your a hyperconsumer.

I think a better example of wealth would’ve been like an engineer who saved money consistently over 30 years of work to the point where his investments made enough each year to maintain his lifestyle. That’s true wealth. Using Bill Gates as an example can make wealth seem like an unreasonable goal for most people when, in reality, people have become millionaires on less than a six-figure income. It’s all about saving

wealth is assets, rich is paycheck/salary or non real asset investments. Wealthy people rarely ever go broke because they have so much assets to bounce back. For rich, once the income or paycheck is no more or adjusted, they are tossed. A surgeon making $1m/yr without strong assets is rich vs a wealthy business owner making $200k/yr after all deductions with business assets of over $10 million.

This is how people usually become poor even if they studied the whole of their life. People should know assets and liabilities. What is the difference between assets and liabilities? Why is it so important? Why does that make people poor? I will answer all those questions.
Question 1: Assets give you a future with happiness while liabilities give you a future of poorness. So if you are on the assets team even if you are poor in some future you might be 10% of Bill Gates wealth while if you are on the liabilities side then you will become poor even if you are really rich now. It's all about how you spend your money and what's your knowledge.
Question 2: Assets and liabilities are so important because it's all about how you spend your money. As we all know, there is rarely any free food, clothes, homes ect because people want money for it all. Money for that 3 bedroom house, money for that food, money for that dress.
Question 3: It makes people poor because if you earn £100P/W then you should make a budget while not everyone has that sort of idea leaving them with a little bit of saving.
    ( I have the book)
    Take care everyone! c:

Fun fact about traveling I learned. You don't need to buy a first class seat, when flying and you're at the gate you can ask if they have a first class seat available and if they do you can get it free of charge (someone might miss their flight or cancel). I do this all the time to get free first class seats if they are available.

    Money makes you rich ...........................
    Assets make you wealthy ......................
You can do three things with Money, Spend it, Save it or Invest it.
The ratio at which you do these three will determine if you will be poor, rich or wealthy.
    Hope you choose the latter.

This makes me remember: My family when I was born was super rich and we had one of the best houses in our zone. I have three siblings, one that is 30 currently, and my father gave us the best of the best to each of us. But even if I LOVE him, even if he is the best friend, father or person which was alive that I ever seen. We realized that we had a lot of unpaid debt coming from his business. After he died when I was 12, our family had money already going to the drain, and all we talked about in dinner is how to spend less money. That moment of our lives changed our perspective on life. My older brother currently works in his family workshop and changed his business strategy, striving for stability and balance, and not money and risk. We are getting ourselves out of this mess, and I hope we can be free someday.

We are living care free efficient lives on my retirement (which isn't much). We went back to work during the pandemic for 10 months and were able to save our entire take home pay. Living off the retirement and a few checks we got from the government to cover the additional expense of working. We are now back in retirement, we don't have to work to pay our bills, so I guess we are both living just above the poverty line and independently wealthy at the same time. We live in a new built colonial in a good neighborhood, have 2 cars (1 practical and 1 Mustang Convertible). I tracked our money carefully for the last 7 months and we managed to balance the budget. I've witnessed members of my mother's family receive legitimate large settlements and squander every dime. My father's side quiet the opposite, money isn't about how much but how much you know about handling it

In my town the millionaires drive old or used cars, don't even look well-;to do. Now they have moved up to nice homes. They still wear blue jeans and plain plaid shirts.
The middle class buy new vehicles nearly every year or after warranty has expired. They want and want, I volunteer in my community, I hear them talk of their wants. They wear trendy clothes shop at the trendy mall, buying expensive items, even brag about it. Or put another down because they can afford what they have.
The millionaires don't go on vacations, invest pne owns all but chain gas stations. most own rental properties, are self employed, and act is if penniless. Shop at Goodwill or similar, go to garage sales and use coupons.

I have started to buy designers' items; they are timeless and have a much better quality, so they last. I think I will apply that with my clothes : better quality and less, only a few of each item=mix and match.

Now I’m starting to understand what true wealth is. Those who successfully retire young in the FIRE movement or anyone who has consistent passive income that covers all their expenses so they don’t need a job- are both wealthy because they don’t need to get a job to pay their bills and thus have time freedom. Their money is being generated passively, so they don’t worry about money. Their income and standard of living may be lower than the working surgeon, but because the income is passive, they are still wealthy (they have time and financial freedom) whereas the surgeon is rich (trading time for money to buy expensive flashy things to impress people. This is more of a mindset shift. I see that the rich surgeon is a slave to many things- a job, high expenses, high social expectations, keeping up with the Jones’s, doesn’t know what his true purpose and meaning is in life (other than impressing others) and no time freedom. The wealthy on the other hand are free from the bondage of wage slavery as they have passive income to cover all expenses, time freedom, freedom from social expectations, living modestly so freedom from social pressure to keep up with fake friends, and freedom to pursue their true inner purpose and meaning.

You record it once and take out of it money as much as its useful for the audience cs they pay for it... but firstly you'll need to do that sth for free (in selling sth) for the audience to discover them and know they're good in what they do and firstly for that individual to earn experience. My dad worked as a very highly paid programmer and invested in staffing and programming services companies early during the 80s. I've seen his investment account valued at 17 million. He tell me that he never spends the principle, only the interest income and is free to work as a consultant and investor on whatever project he finds interesting, drug discovery at the moment for brain cancer and Alzheimers since if things work out, he makes money and makes the world a better place. Thats my goal in life too. Make my first million and the investment income could sustain me in a modest life, not worrying about job security and free to pursue lucrative startup investments, where you work for stock not money. Always seems like the people buying luxury clothes, sports cars, and fly first class are the ones that spend unsustainably. Where they to lose their primary income, they would be poor again.

My cousins are millionaires and live in a 1.5 Million dollar house, but drive a 2000 Honda Accord. Can they afford a new Accord? Sure they can, but they know it’s not going to enrich their lives any further.
