Sit tomorrow is my practical exam and i have redox titration of KMnO4 vs mohr's salt....... Sir but my hand shakes while doing the experiment..... How to release tension or pressure ...... I am also from west bengal purba bardhaman
Keep the burette lower and keep the conical on the base. Make the speed of burette very slow so that the drops are added very slowly. It will take time but being slow your result will come perfect without any shaking.
If burette is really leaking then no other option is left except changing burette. But sometimes wrong handling of burette also leads to leakage. If you are right handed then use your left hand to handle the burette and right hand to handle the conical. The tip of the burette should be in between your thumb and ring finger. Handle the burette delicately and see whether still it is leaking or not.
Sir in this experiment the molarity of standard solution is known (KMnO4)and the molarity of unknown solution (mohar salt solution) to find ...sir is it right???
There are 3 types of questions regarding titration in class 12 ISC exam. All are discussed in another video . The link is given below: th-cam.com/video/HNk0A6xrYig/w-d-xo.html
It is actually better to use H3PO4... It can mask the yellow colour of Fe3+ at end point by complexation. In estimation of iron by dichromate, it is actually H3PO4 that is used. Now at school level, we generally have HCL, HNO3 and H2SO4 in the lab. Again, the concentration of Fe2+ in the solution is also kept very low for the students and that concentration of Fe3+ at end point does not hamper the faint pink colour at the end point. So, at class XII level, it is okay to use H2SO4.
Today's my chemistry practical and my teacher didn't teach the students a single thing.
Thank you so much sir.
