My manager FREAKED out when he heard me playing original version while working ! This was a few years ago and he said he just saw Gary Numan live and was surprised i knew this song. He is a big music fan, told me that this is totally underground type music, he heard the newer version. I enjoy both versions, have original on vinyl! ❤❤❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Listening to this for the first time in 1979 for me was a revelation.
The most underrated and influential artist of the last 50 years hardly any one reacts to his music I implore you to do a deep dive into his music 👽👽👽👽
Compared to say Mike Scott of the Waterboys. 😂not even close.

Songs so good it doesn’t even need a chorus. It’s Imperative you listen to the original but I do love this version too. I love em all.

Very different energy from the studio version, or other live versions on TH-cam. Much prefer others, specifically Brixton Academy live in 2018.
The only version of this song worth listening to is the Replicas album version, pure synth goodness.
