I had got a set of these for my wrangler, but than realized they fit the 944, and would probably blind less people in the 944. I haven’t got flashed yet with them and are so much better than oem at night!
Great video and perfect timing! I was looking to do a LED headlight upgrade in my '83 944 next week, and this video couldn't have been a better guide on how to do it. One note: the Amazon link you provided has an extra ")" symbol at the end which breaks the link
@@TheMileHighMechanic Ok, I just meant like the different pieces you used in it, I've never done any wiring before but I should be able to figure it out. Thanks!
@@hawend6395 If you pop up the lights and then switch it to the running lights they will stay up and show the halos. But you are right, if you don't pop them up first they will stay down while on.
Hey odd request, but can you do one for door lock? My 1983 Porsche 944 won’t open from the inside, but when I turn the key to enter the car from the outside, it works.
If you take a look at my "paint prep" video you can see the inner workings of the door handle. I suspect that your inside door handle needs adjustment.
Absolutely love those torch beams. After like 3 different brands these ones are the ones I recommend the most. If you wanna see how it looks with the signals wired up to see how it looks on a 944 let me know I’ll send you a link.
It's a cool feature to have the signals blink orange, but it just seems a little cheesey to have the whole light blink especially because the turn signals on my car are pretty darn bright already. That's just me though 🤷
@@TheMileHighMechanic 100% I totally get that. I have mine wired up because I still have the yellow lenses, and even though LEDs up front help, people would still cut me off at night and especially at dusk because they couldn’t tell I was changing lanes. Your clear lenses and switch backs should really make it obvious you’re trying to turn. I did a community post about some other style lights I found that have the 4 little spotlights similar to how the newer Porsches look, but I haven’t pulled the trigger on em because they don’t have that switch back function. Solid video man keep up the awesome work I’m loving the progress on the car! 👍🏻

Yeah, definitely a great upgrade.

I'm glad I could be a good guide! Thanks for letting me know about the link, I'll go fix that
I just bought a set and they look really good. I'm wondering if you could make a short video on the mini wiring harness you made?
I feel like I covered it pretty well, all the little "harness" is is a T in the power wire for the marker light.

@@groovycheese5046 oh ok gotcha, I stripped a wire in the middle and another at the end. Then I twisted them together and soldered it. Hope that helps
@@TheMileHighMechanic Thanks!
I like what you did (might do it myself0 but why have driving lights if the lights are down.

@@TakeFlightGarage yeah, the led signals really make a difference with the clear lenses. Thanks for the support!
Nice video plan on doing same for my 944! Also do you know where I can locate clear lens front and rear side marker lights?
Check only944.com I believe they have some on there.
Yeap, sold !!!!! Me on those ligh lol
Oh yeah, they make the car look great!
Some updates on the honda element ?
It actually is not my car, so after I finished it I gave it back to my friend. I really couldn't tell you what is happening with it at this moment.
Where can we buy these headlights and do you know if theses will fit on a 924?
Yes they fit a 924, I have the link in the description
These types of cheap leds are generally hot garbage with poor light patterns
Seems to be working pretty well to me...very nice beam pattern too🤷
just dont.
