- Enabled Rambling - after a two year wait for repairs that spanned several months I was eager to use the slipway on Earnse Bay to finally get back on the beach in time for the forthcoming kitesufing championships.. and what did I find?.. Access STILL Denied through the sheer thoughtlessness which is endemic in Barrow Council regarding disablead access to local amenities. I am sick to death of being treat like a second class citizen!
That's the crazy thing about it. They haven't left a bit undone... they completed the entire slipway then piled rocks back on top of it. The wife was onto the council today, they're going to send someone to look at it, but in the meantime I've been shifting the rocks myslf.
