AFTERBUZZ TV - AfterBuzz TV's Spotlight On edition, is a long form interview series featuring actors, actresses, and TV personalities discussing their upcoming projects as well as their thoughts, passions and journeys. In this episode host Blake V interviews Owen Teague.
ABOUT OWEN TEAGUE:
The actor can be seen in both television and film and has already garnered a resume that includes working with today’s top stars such as Samuel L. Jackson, Chris O'Donnell, Linda Cardellini, Sissy Spacek, John Cusack, Stacy Keach, Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn, Chloe Sevigny, and Andrea Riseborough. He got his start in theater in productions such as "Oliver", "Macbeth", "The Music Man", and "A Christmas Story" as Ralphie. He joined Florida’s oldest and most prestigious Equity theater, Asolo Rep, in productions of “A Tale of Two Cities,” “Hero”, “A Winter’s Tale", "The Life of Galileo", and "The Matchmaker".
Owen’s introduction to television and film came at the age of 10 when he flew out to Los Angeles for a screen test of “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” He continued to audition and appear in a combination of both television and film, including “NCIS: Los Angeles,” “CollegeHumor Originals,” “Bones,” “Mercy Street,” and independent feature films “Wild in Blue“ and "Echoes of War". The new year brings big news for Owen, as fans of “Bloodline” find Owen portraying ‘Nolan Rayburn,’ son of ‘Danny Rayburn' (Ben Mendelsohn) in addition to his season one character, ‘Young Danny,’ putting a twist on the show's upcoming plotline. He will also appear in the upcoming independent film “Cell” with Samuel L. Jackson, based on Stephen King’s thriller novel of the same name.
Owen, of mostly Welsh and German descent, has a true artist’s nature, and along with acting, is developing his skills in music - bass, violin and mandolin, as well as fine art - drawing, sculpture and photography. He is inspired by Leonardo DiCaprio for his range, longevity in career and charity initiatives. Currently taking a class in Digital Media, he has earned local recognition for his live action and animated short films, and wants to develop as a filmmaker. He holds near and dear to his heart environmental issues and the problem/causes of teen suicide. Having witnessed a close call with cancer in his own family, he also regularly visits Moffitt Cancer Center with his music mentor to help lift the spirits of patients through the art of music.

He was super nice! He didn't come to school everyday unfortunately and sometimes he would miss classes for like 3 months on end because of acting. Everyone liked him, but he always went out of his way to talk to the quiet/shy kids, which was really kind of him. I remember running my pacer test right next to him lmao. oh and fun fact one of his legs is longer than the other. idk why i remember that haha

Owen was brilliant in Bloodline. Serious acting chops fleshing out such a great character in the series, absolutely loved his performance! Seems like a super humble and smart guy too!

This guy was in my lunch period last year, I think. I just found this out today. But I specifically remember him being in my lunch period. I never actually talked to him or anything, I just saw him from afar as I was just a freshman and I am not a very social individual. But I thought he looked kinda cool. I remember my friend said he was going to be in It or something, but I didn't pay much mind because it didn't directly affect me.

It's crazy how much in common a person can have with another. I think far many people fail to remember that even " famous" people are still regular people. Although I will likely never meet Owen, (I'd give anything to just once but 🤷) just like so many did with Cameron Boyce, that's how I feel when it comes to Owen. Keep up the amazing work. I'm looking forward to so many more shows and movies with you.
