American industry depends on foreign engineers who are from all over the world. If america continues to give the world the finger they will go elsewhere. Similarly the advanced nations will turn their backs on the US because of their withdrawl from Climate change agreements and WHO and whatever else they decide. Consumers and businesses will take their money elsewhere.

This is bs. I work in tech. At FAANG levels and on websites you use daily. We do not need foreign workers to run infrastructure or write javascript. That's absolutely ludicrous. The software engineers making $100-450k building everything do not need to be PHDs from Stanford or whatever India techinical university. You clearly aren't in the industry. American engineers make 2-3x what any European/etc software engineer makes. WE are the highest quality. The h1b argument is literally them replacing american workers. That's it. Sundeep the level 2 engineer h1b is not building nuclear rocket surgery software. Not a single american worker wants to work with these people.
