Glad you made it back safe !! I sailed with you in the 2018 Texas 200 so I was happy to hear you were in the EC which I tried a couple years ago and DNF'd @ Sanibel in a terrible storm at night. It sounds like a miserable day and night for you with the food poisoning and hypothermia. What a terrible combination. I can't imagine the suffering. Thanks for the great write up and video. Some great lessons for all.
Sorry to see your 2 year effort end this way, but sorrier to see my friend not feeling well. Thanks for the excellent feed back and I always though apples were over rated. Come on back to Texas where it is warmer.
What an unfortunate miss hap after all the preparation. Who could have thought of the food. Well, I am happy you made it back safe. The other day I was surprised. Some guy shooting a video a day before the start of the EC. That´s when I saw Your boat. Went to the EC web site to shoot You a line. Your last video had the commentaries deactivated. Last thing I remembered You had some kind of love affair with a power line. I am sure that was a lot of work to bring her back to shape. She´s looking fantastic as always. THXs Great Video. I am sorry to read that You wanna let her go. Are You sure about that ? I am trying very hard to track down some plans to built but no luck. Texas ? Haha, I am raring too. The important thing is staying in the game !!!
warrior90 hey, all’s well. Had planned to sell her and took the opportunity to do so when crossing the country. She’s at her best. But time to downsize for me. Have a small 13’ tri just finishing up. Easier in my 70’s. Come out with your boat to the Texas 200 in 2021, we’ll meet and sail together. It’s a blast - and downright WARM!
