    Loaded Landau Edition. I really like this car. It's sophisticated, classy, smooth and comfortable. Very honest car 47,000 miles that I believe to be true.
    EXTERIOR: I'm impressed with the body. It's straight, fit's very square and flush. I didn't find any bubbles, there is a scratch in the drivers 1/4 panel that I did not point out in the video. Overall the show shows really well, classy colors. I believe the chrome and trim are original and I'm very impressed. It's all very bright, shiny, straight and fits the car like it's supposed to. The windshield is crystal clear, gasket is soft. Actually all the glass is really clear. The padded vinyl top is like brand new. All the stainless around the roof and the Landau bars are excellent. Door jambs are very tidy, soft weatherstrips, the latches are clean. The doors shut like it's a new car. Hubcaps are shiny, not banged up, they have the optional spinners. The Michelin tires look like they're in excellent shape. I didn't even talk about the cool design. Look like a missile with rockets thrusters for taillights.
    INTERIOR: That interior is very impressive, it shows no signs of abuse. It looks so well cared for. Look at the door panels, they are mint, not kicked, cracked or warped. The wood grain and moldings are excellent. The interior lights work including in the doors. I was surprised to see it has genuine leather upholstery. The entire front and rear seats are leather. It's original and still soft. Has it's chrome piping and Thunderbird medallions. Look at the aluminum trim, they're not beat up or scratched. Both seats are power! The carpet's in excellent condition, has rubber Thunderbird mats. Has original seat belts in front. The entire instrument area is beautiful, all of the chrome sparkles. Beautiful instrument panel. The horn ring, air conditioning vents, it's all beautiful. The wood grain is mint, there is one small crack on top of the dash pad at the corner of the speaker. Has a white perforated headliner in excellent shape. Visors, mirror and trim is excellent. Unique features include the swing away wheel, center console and this one is loaded with options. The original radio has been rebuilt and upgraded with modern internals, has aux jack. It plays loud and clear. Has owner's manual.
    ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Very clean, well preserved original. Powered by big 390 motor with 300 horsepower and it features factory air conditioning, power steering and power brakes. It has details like factory stickers, washer bag, reproduction radiator hose and clamps, has hood insulation. 4 barrel carb was just replaced.

      _Stunning example of the pre-ample to the square bird in '64. Obviously this 1963 Ford Thunderbird Landau is a quality time piece. Odd I only see single exhaust(thinking all T-birds in this era had true duals)? And that chain around the engine bell house to the transmission looks odd. All this said, Volo Museum Auto Sales always(and I mean always) has some of the finest examples of all classic cars of various pedigree._

    IDENTICAL (including color and top) to my dad's car with the exception that he had an AM radio and a manual passenger seat. FYI, the top is actually rubber, not vinyl. I don't remember the fake spinner hub caps nor do I remember the fake wood on the dash and doors. They could be aftermarket. Thanks for showing it.

    Hi Jay. I was just thinking what did we have in England in '63 ....oh yes! The Ford Anglia ,engine choice 997cc/ 1200cc or the Mk 1 Capri , engine choice 1340cc or 1500cc in GT form! The "T" bird 6.3 litre 300 bhp! Was the '63 style just one year . My friend has a '62 which doesn't look similar and l'm certain the '64 is different again ! Thanks Jay.

      Had to go lookup a Ford Anglia. We don't get many cars from the UK. Very unique styling! 🙂

    • @paulallison6689
      @paulallison6689 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The '61-'66 T-Birds all had/have essentially the same body style & look to 'em...other than the '64-'66 models didn't have the totally flat/straight across frontend...they were angled back on the outer ends from the high beam headlights outwards. Then in '67 they looked considerably different overall (& weren't very appealing lookin' ta me personally).

      @@VoloMuseumAutoSales Hi Jay. Regarding the Anglia , yes definitely different , however l may have confused you with the "mk 1 Capri". It was a spin off from the Ford Classic introduced in 1962. This virtually looked like a larger Anglia. The Capri was a restyled Classic with a sloped roof , it looked much better and is a rare find today. The" mk 1 Capri" was introduced in 1969 and was extremely successful both here and abroad and a few were sold Stateside. Sorry to take up your valuable time Jay. And the retail on the "T" Bird .. ridiculous!

    1963 was the ONLY year between 1955 and 1966 where Thunderbirds did not have a dual exhaust. And the picture you put up shows this one does not have dual exhaust either.

    • @dj33036
      @dj33036 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      But the resonator has been removed. If it still had the resonator you wouldn't even be able to hear it running. I loved these old birds, I took my drivers test when I was 16 in my Uncle's '63 Landau Thunderbird. It was silver mink, with a black vinyl top and black interior. I later owned 3 different bullet birds but sadly none now. I don't have the resources to take care of an old car.

  • @kingkrimson8771
    @kingkrimson8771 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That's a single exhaust system, not dual which is correct for a '63.
