This movie surprised the hell out of me in every step of the way. cant belive how much I enjoyed (liked) every scene it has. so much to say, makes it highly underrated in 2020
It's funny that Alonso mentioned Dogtooth. The podcast Next Picture Show (which compares new releases with similarly themed older films) paired Kajillionaire with Lanthimo's breakout film.
I thought this had nice moments and a good heart but it was so overly quirky and weird that it really pushed me away. I felt super distant to it. I really wasn't satisfied with it by the end.
Don’t be silly that is not Evan Rachel Wood‘s actual speaking voice. If you don’t believe me then watch the video of her testifying for the Phoenix act. Some good takes on the movie though.
It's a pile of junk crap. I am not sure the purpose of this movie and why anyone would want to invest in this, to begin with. It wasted so much time in the first half of the movie that goes nowhere. The "con" happens it was so slow to pick up in the most uninterest and dull way. If you have not walked out or bored to death in the first half, it is very hard to care about any of these characters. This is the worst movie I have seen all year.
The con to me wasn't the point, none of the scams are as evident by the biggest score of all not even happening on screen. It was about Old Dolie and how this lifestyle has affected her psyche
Old Dolio was a homeless man who hit the lottery. They named her that in hopes he would will her the money when he died but he got cancer and blew all the money trying to find a cure before he passed away. Leaving her with that awful name.
@@theminorsecond5606 well in this review they said there was never an explanation for why she was named that. I'm guessing they weren't paying attention. Plus they talk about the whole plot of the movie in the review so it's not much of a spoiler.

I saw this at Sundance this year and I loved it!
Miranda July is the greatest underrated filmmaker of this century

I thought this movie was weird and confusing. But it was interesting and I couldn’t wait to see what came next
well said, haha that's exactly how I felt in the first couple acts
You guys never reviewed SPREE, came out last month and I loved it

How did you feel about parasite?
lol have you seen kermode's review? you'll love it
Delightful film. Not as good as Madeline's Madeline but man ERW is incredible. Clucky and awkward works for her!
Just saw this, so great up until the ending which was a slight let down
What the flick!?!?
Glad to have found you all again! I loved your reviews.
not for me, i keep the other 2 as my favourites

One hit wonder she is.

@@desolationjosh1 5:52 Dont say why! is what they say
They knew why they named her that, but it was a spoiler, that's why they refrained from saying it.
@@desolationjosh1 No they didn't. They all said "don't say why" so the guy speaking won't spoil it. Now you just did.
