I wonder if the guitar would have sounded better mic'd in front of the sound hole instead of coming through the pickups. As it is it's fairly unpleasant and probably didn't need to be.
There's a body of Welsh folk songs where you have a series of challenging choruses and tongue twisters. The tradition, where by singers would compete against one another in a social environment, was to out do the other singers often by singing these difficult songs quicker than everybody else. I have a feeling that Gwilym is singing in this spirit during this performance.

Good but cut out two thirds of the violin solos and make the vocals normal speed and it would be great
