I really enjoy how you all take care of everything.....Just because they're animals doesn't mean they can be just left to themselves. You gotta take care of them so you get the benefits of good nutrition from them. Thanks for what you're doing and congratulations on the new baby in your other video.
I am in total agreement with you about the vaccinations & the feed. I am glad to know that the chicks in the stores are not vaccinated. That was one reason why I was considering getting an incubator & hatching my own this year. Last summer was the first time that I had gotten baby chicks, & at the moment I have a turkey setting on eggs, & I have put about 4 chicken eggs under her. So, I really appreciate the info on the apple cider vinegar & the silver. I'll definitely be doing that. I always appreciate your videos! 🙂
We had chicken's about 4 years ago and had to give them away 😔 at that time we let the hen's hatch and raise baby chicks 😊 5 months ago we decided to buy Chick's 🤗 and had the same questions 🤔 Thank you for confirming we made the right choices 🙂 God Bless you and your Family 🙏
Those splash Marans are so cute!!!! We have 16 eggs in an incubator for our first time hatching. All came from our own hens. 16 out of 21 viable at day 12 so here’s to hoping for a successful hatch like yours.
Thought I would add that we used your idea of feeding the chicken's out of o old gutter but we will nail it on the coop wall about a foot off the floor 🙂 and we are also putting a compost ben into the run 😊 Thank you so much for all your good advice and God Bless You All 🙏 We are looking at the automatic door openers but can't click on your Link 🤔 maybe type it in without spaces
I have picky hen’s and they live to waste their food I’ve tried pellets and crumble your hens seem to live their feed so I guess I’m simply asking how much waste do you have and how can I fix mine lol
You can buy some feeders that help chickens from wasting too much. If you feel like it’s still bad maybe that just need a different feed? We haven’t had that problem so not sure exactly, hope this helps!
My chicks are unmedicated and unvaccinated. I will give medicine when needed, but I'm really not a big believer in broadly giving prophylactic medications to anyone, but especially to a tiny flock of six. I might have a different opinion if I had 300 birds but I don't, I have six.
I put garlic cloves in their water for a couple days for worms and put de in dust bath and coop for mites. When I see mites on them I'll rub the de directly on them. It's bad for their respiratory system though so just a little bit and be careful not to get it in the air. Just my thoughts on it.

Oh my GOSH they are SO cute! I remember when my chickens where that small, now I want to get more chicks!!!
It’s so funny how the chickens follow him towards the end

Do you put the drops in with the apple cider vinegar or alternate between? Thank you to all of you chicken moms and dad's for all of your experiences.
Excellent information 👍🏻 I never added the silver but ACV--for sure. No vaccine/no medication is the way to go. Another great video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻- lacy 🤓
what the thing holding the food and water out of the bedding? I need to either make or buy one
I have mine vac'd and start them on unmeded for first month then medicated and ACV in there water...just my way and only lost two out of 54 chicks

My girls will only eat a seed mix and oats that I add to it, they have plenty of grass as well, so I can understand fussy girls 💕

Yes agreed, much easier to keep 6 of them healthy and a close eye on them then 300 of them. Thank you for watching Tina!
Good video
Amazing❤️❤️❤️
What kind of rooster is Caesar?
Is it worth it
For the cost of eggs to buy, it sure is worth it in NZ
👍👍👍
we buy from a local hatchery and have them vaccinate them
Once they get older what do you use for 🪱 worms and mites?

Same thing I just tried. Hope it works. Thank you.
