Great one Jay. Loving my M11M. I think it's the most unique camera ever released. While other brands go for more is more. Leica M11M showed us that less is more. The lowlight capabilities of this camera is unmatched.
Nice to see how others work they M11M files. How are you focusing for these portraits: crit or zone? And a lot more stuff looks in focus too: are you at a a higher aperture vs shooting wider like f/1.4-2.8?? I've found that one thing I have to do is throw out my knowledge of shutter speed and re-learn things because the speeds I normally use let in too much light on the M11M. So, for example, on a sunny day, 1/500 is my new 1/250, and that's even with -1 stop exposure compensation because the image is overexposed otherwise. lol
@adudenamedruby Thanks for watching and adding your comment to the conversation. When I do street portraits I use critical focus. But I’m starting to get the hang of throwing the focus tab to the correct side (near focus). I use zone when I’m walking around capturing candid shots. I mostly stay on f.8, I go into more detail my WTF is Zone Focus video. You are on the right track with the M11M I found 1/500 to be a comfortable SS when out in the daytime.
Do I see that you’re using a green filter here? I haven’t felt that effective with this color and wondered that you use it and how. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for this. I’m trying to gather all I can going to my M11 mono. Other than color conversion my last experience was with film.
Hey Gary, thank you for watching. I don't use any color filters. What you see on my camera is a simple pass-through screw-on to protect the Leica glass.
And just think image 1 - if you tapped it with the AI denoiser w/lgihtroom basically turned the m11 into the m11mono w/color..I shoot 35,000 with my 11 no hesitation, with denser it looks like iso 800 due to the 60mp - it's just wild.
@jasongold6751 thank you for watching and your comment. I found your point to be true with most "high end" anythings. Thank goodness for the simple things that just work like the smart phone.

Amazing that a high end in price, camera needs more work! Phone cameras are ready as exposed!
