+nicksatie Thanks! It'll make my day if you find a new favourite composer or piece from here. Thanks to channels like Hexameron (RIP) I found my initial interest in music.
Lorenzo Pone Charles Griffes is an American (as you have been already told) and he isn't an "imitator" at all! He has a distinctive style, blending impressionism and late-romanticism in a most unique way. What a pity he is underrated and seldom heard!
very exotic impressionism, you can tell that his trips to europe were important in developing of his musical style
Beautiful composition, beautiful and incredible pianist. Thank you.
How stunning would a string arrangement of No. 1 be!!
I really appreciate your channel. would never find out about these composers otherwise, thank you so much !

Great channel, whoever you are. Many thanks.
You're such a great research resource. If not for you I would not know quite a few composers I love. Thank you!
I'm glad you could find something you enjoy!
The notes rival the music's beauty.
That first piece is awfully similar to Ravel's Le Gibet, part of Gaspard de la Nuit. Coincidence?
English composers have always been, with a few exceptions, at their very best, nothing but pale imitators.
