    5 years ago still having the same problem with my some of my new coils from Smok. I get you can’t be 100% but 33% of the coils I buy shouldn’t cost me a tank of juice while I sleep if I don’t finish it

    After seeing countless vids and reading up on how to solve this leak issue and tearing my hair out and getting ready to complain to smok about this well known problem I am glad I found your video on here. I left my full tank last night without vaping it and going back to my usual smoke for the last 2 years...this morning the tank was still full after doing as you suggested. So, I hope the problem has now been finally solved and I can get back to enjoying a superior vape with my baby beast and pro colour. Straight out of the from new box one coil was faulty when I got this kit 2 weeks back. Smok, or better termed ( schmuck ) need to hold up their hands here guys. It is not just the faulty coils and the expense in replacing them it is also about the juice we are wasting with these leaks. I was about to give up and spend £30 on a uwell crown 3... again another expense! Thank you for this video and helping us out with the true problem and solution...Top man

      Don’t waste your time doing that. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the seal.
      All you need to do is screw in the coil into the mouth piece first, then screw in the bottom.
      That’s all it takes. Never had a leaking problem since I started doing this.

    I'm new to vaping and just bought myself a Smok Scar 18 with a TFV9 tank. I took the thing apart and put it together loads in the last 24 hours because it was leaking. Came here to see if that was normal... You just saved me a whole lot of time and effort! Cheers dude!

    Thanks! Never had a leak problem with the baby beast. But my new big baby tank leaked badly , and have searched for solutions. Began with the pre installed coil, instant leakage. No leakage after I discovered your solution. Keep on vaping!

    Wow, thank you so much for the info, very helpful :) Bought my SMOK Stick V8 this week and it started leaking on the 3rd tank refill when I filled out all the way - guess it go too saturated and started to leak from the adjustable airflow. It remained like that all day long, leaking little by little and I couldn't figure out wtf was wrong. Now I get it. Went to check the 0.25 coil extra and there it was... horrible seal. So I twisted it up a bit and was all good. Thanks again!

    Just got my 219 kit today. Vaped for a bit, set it on my desk, went to work, and came home to a puddle of juice on my desk.
    Checked my coil, and sure enough--unseated gasket. Thanks for setting me straight! I love this mod, but even when first hitting it, i was getting leaks. Happy to report, no more leaks after reseating the coil.
    Great video. Thanks for still helping people almost three years later.

    Thx this is helpfull, just picked up the quad with the tfv8 this week after having the 220 and baby for quite some time. In all honesty the baby and big baby never really gave me an issue which is why I was suprised the cloud beast is, still running the pre-installed I will give this a go once I empty my tank. Very helpfull

I just got it a few days ago and was initially disappointed that this one also leaked like the baby beast. Thanks!

    I have 2 TFV8s and a TFV12. I've had no leaking issues with any of the coil heads. I yet since move to using the RBAs only (for cost and fun factor).
    I was told by my local shop to screw on everything tight, then turn the tank upside down to let the air pressure escape. If you fill the tank without venting the excess air, it will leak.
    It's has worked for me.

    Another issue I've found (as well as figured out how to fix) is when it's not the gasket itself, but the two ends of the wire just under the gasket/ring (if holding it upside down). On some, you'll see them poking out or up from underneath it. I've found that if you get a tiny flathead screwdriver, push them in toward the coil, then gently force them downward, then the seal sits better. It worked for me after wasting two tanks full of fluid when tanks sat overnight. Your fix is damn well one to consider, too, and thanks for the vid.

    A good chap posted the leaking tank fix in the comment section on a vid i watched, just screw the coil into the top section of the tank nice and snug 1st then screw the the whole top section to the base of the tank, also it's a good idea to put the thick rubber ring that comes in the box around the top section where the filler opening is to be sure the tank holds a good vacuum and this hopefully should solve the problem the majority of you are having.

    Thanks for the idea of checking the coil bottom. My TFV8 was leaking a lot. My coil came factory installed and was really tight. Once I was able to get it loosened from the atty bottom, I checked the coil bottom and there was a gap. I pushed up on it and closed the gap. Then I screwed the coil into the chimney first put the glass on and then screwed in the bottom half of the coil. So far, no leaks. I've been doing a lot of research on the topic too. I will definitely suggest this to others. Great video!

  • @albertarcher1839
    @albertarcher1839 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    If you screw the atomizer to the chimney 1st.... Your leaking will be worse. When you tighten a coil all the way on your chimney 1st..... The base cannot fully tighten because the atomizers are too high on the chimney. Tighten atomizer to the base 1st and bottom it out maximum till there is no possible space or thread left.
    This is the pressure that flattens those shitty seals out flat and seal.... The atomizer to chimney connection has flexibility to seal.
    But the Atom to Base connect threads must be tightened absoloute maximun to smash the seal flat.

    Been using Smok tank and coils for 18 months now and I've never had an issue with the coils. My leaking issue was due to the top seal (where you fill the tank) either being incorrectly fitted or being damaged, therefore, it wasn't creating a vacuum and the oil was pissing out the air holes.

    The "bottom seal" is not a seal! It is the insulator between the +/- sides of the coil leads. HOWEVER, if is isn't allowing the coil to seat against the ACTUAL seal (the itty bitty clear/white silicone ring above the threads) it can cause a leak. Just trying to get the terms right.

    Hey I just want to say that, I figured out why my tank was still leaking. Even though I tried this method with 2 different coils, it was still leaking. I myself just got my TFV12 in the mail yesterday, and so far it's working absolutely phenomenal in terms of properly sealing as it's never leaked a single solitary drop ever, and so I gotta suggest You're either using too thin of juice that's not a MAXVG because anything less than MAX VG LIQUID is gonna leak in this tank or the original TFV8 that's just how it is as they've designed to be used with Max Vg only, and then if that's not the problem, and you've got Max Vg juice then I would suggest returning the tank to your local vape shop for a replacement BECAUSE I myself know for a fact sometimes it's possible to get a defective tank of which wasn't machined properly because I HAVE TWO ORIGINAL TFV8 tanks, and one my first one I bought has never leaked ever not a single drop, however the other one I purchased which is newer leaks every single time I try to vape it to the point that I was constantly having to keep napkins nearby, and I couldn't wak out of the house for a walk or anything without napkins or paper towels as the damn thing always leaked every couple of minutes, and since my Wife took my original tank I didn't have another to use so I dealt with the leaking for a while but finally couldn't handle it Anymore, and so I ordered the TFV12 and received it yesterday afternoon on Monday June 19, and I've had absolutely no issues it's perfect....... I hope this helps because yea obviously you can get a defective tank because I have two original TFV8 tanks, and my wife's never leaks ever, while the one I had wouldn't never stop leaking, and I've even switched coils in both tanks Just to make sure it wasn't the coils, and confirmed it wasn't the coils but yea my tank is defective so yea if anyone else is Having similar issues maybe take into consideration what I've just told everyone!!!!!!!!!
    UPDATE LOL RIGHT AFTER POSTING THIS COMMENT I SAW THE PART WHERE HE WAS SHOWING ALL THE SEALS, AND SURE ENOUGH I NEVER NOTICED THE LITTLE SMALL CLEAR RUBBER SEAL FOR THE TOP CAP, AND SO I CHECKED MY DEFECTIVE TFV8 TANK N SURE ENOUGH ITS MISSING THAT SEAL LOL, and so obviously I believe I may have just found my problem maybe my tank wasn't defective after all, and I just assumed it was because my wife TFV8 never leaked, and I even swapped coils to be sure, but I never did realize or pay attention to the little top cap seal as I would have never expected this tank to have been shipped to me without a top cap seal, but it was, and so I'm almost positive I've got a replacement seal kit in the box, and so cheers to me lol 😂 I just wish i would have known this before I spent the money of the new TFV12 but ah well it's whatever I really like the TFV12 so it's cool

    If you want the perfect balance of vapor and flavor I recommend the X4 coils for the big baby beast. They last much longer then the Q2s that come with it and aren't as harsh (I use around 3 to 6mg nic). As for the leaking you can't quite twist the X4 coils like you can others but you can mash tf out of it and force that metal piece to be nice and tight. Happy vaping!

    there is a better fix which is, screw the coil to the top mouth portion or also called the chiminy portion of the tank first and then insert the glass, followed by screwing it to the base of the tank will eleminate the leaks completely and increase your flavor. you would have noticed that the tank was not leaking with the company mounted coil and would more likely have this problem only after you replaced the first coil. this is the reason.

    • @blackhousevaporcompany4022
      @blackhousevaporcompany4022  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both will work, but when someone is buying a new coil they most likely get a five pack, so with this fix you can go through and make sure they all are good to go as to not forget that they are messed up.

    I bought the TFV8 Baby V2 and it has done nothing but leak from day 1. I tried every trick I've seen on youtube, including this one, and nothing has worked. I took it back to the place I bought it and the guy came up with every excuse in the book. I was either putting the coils in wrong, letting the e-cig lay on it's side, or I'm using cheap coils. I pointed out that my coils were SMOK brand and he actually told me that doesn't mean anything because people are are using SMOK packaging to sell their cheap coils at a higher price. I realized at that point that he had no intention of making it right so I went home and ordered myself a tank with top air flow.

    Usually use RDAs because tank coils always have some sort of manufacturing issue. This still hasnt been fixed by SMOK and your little tightening trick doesnt do the trick. Most of the time, you need to actually tuck the coil in and sometimes clip a small amount off before doing so. Then put the rubber o ring back on, tighten, and youre good...usually. sometimes....they just keep leaking and gotta use a different coil. Its annoying as hell.

  • @gingahippy

    On my SMOK Vape Pen Plus I have to pull the bottom part out a little so it touches the contact and burns. I've found with the Baby Beast it's the white figure 8 seal on top that get's swollen and doesn't fit right any more.

  • @wogfun
    @wogfun 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I see the gap and understand why would want to push it back together, but when you are installing the coil doesn't the threading force this to happen anyway? I have the prince tank and the smok coils have an extra metal piece on the bottom sticking out that makes contact with (idk what its actually called, the part you adjust airflow). So it seems like when you screw it to the bottom, the part that makes contact would be pushing this in and forcing a seal anyway.

    • @blackhousevaporcompany4022
      @blackhousevaporcompany4022  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      To be honest, the same thought crossed our mind as well. My best guess is that pushing the assembly together prior to screwing it in could possibly allow the gasket to seal better around the wire.

    I found they leaked often. Until i grab a rubber band and found i wasnt tightening them down all the way. And yes.... Ever one of my seals look just like u explained but thats not the problem.

  • @HEZZ73

    i use the baby beast tank&its leaked once&it was the top seal where you fill...if you carry it in a purse&arent sure where the leak is just stand the vape upright on a flat surface&if it still leaks its the bottom seal..(or you can empty your tank&do what the uploader suggests tightening the bottom of the coil finger tight)

    All of my coils (15ish coils) for my TFV8 have had seal problems, however it has never leaked because of it. My beast leaked one time, and that was because (at the time) I wasn't screwing in onto the top section first. I don't know if that will help anyone on this video, just in case that might be your reason.

    For the price they want for these coils, you would think they'd do a better job, making these things.

      They are mass produced and Smok has been scaling up production so fast that I think they have a hard time keeping up with quality control. They have provided the industry with a lot of new, decent products, so we have them to thank for that.

      The X4 coil is the best coil for the tfv8 cloudbeast I've had no leaking or faults with them plus the flavour is excellent and better than the q4 my x4 lasted 3-4 weeks on my tfv8 cloud beast continuously

    hey dude. i have the tfv8 but the leak comes when inhaling. like heated vape juice coming into your mouth while still removing smoke. could it be the same issue as above? if not pls let me know why

    • @blackhousevaporcompany4022
      @blackhousevaporcompany4022  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey there! It sounds like you are boiling the juice, which would be due to using an insufficient wattage to achieve the temperature necessary to vaporize the juice. Try to turn your wattage up, making sure it's within the wattage range that is printed on the side of the coilhead.

    I’m helping try to figure out the problem for some friends of mine, they have the stick v8 and it seems to only leak when it’s firing it leaks out the airholes, I have taken it apart 3 times, still leaks, I’m going to try this and I will update

    mine leaks at the bottom seal on the actual tank itself

    • @blackhousevaporcompany4022
      @blackhousevaporcompany4022  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like the O-ring which seals your pyrex piece to the bottom section of your tank may need to be replaced.

    • @glennmorehart8902
      @glennmorehart8902 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Blackhouse Vapor Company tanks only a week old the o ring would be bad already?

    • @blackhousevaporcompany4022
      @blackhousevaporcompany4022  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, it's very possible that the tank came with an imperfect o-ring from the factory. If the leaking is not coming from the airflow, then it's almost definitely the o-ring.

    I haven't had any leaking or faults on the cloud beast X4 coil they are much better for flavour and vapour than the q4 coils and other tfv8 cloud beast coils at lower watts because they ramp up in a short amount of time and the X4 is the best coil on my tfv8 cloud beast it makes it produce more flavour than the tfv12 cloud beast king and the tfv12 prince coil heads but the X4 tfv8 cloud beast coil is toe toe for flavour with the cleito 120 and slightly better than the tfv12 prince mesh coils for flavour in my experience

    Hi. My i also leaking out at the bottom true the air hole. Tried your fix but ITS still leaking. How thigth And hard do i need to screw? It just goes around And aroundShit Im so fucking tired of this!!

    • @blackhousevaporcompany4022
      @blackhousevaporcompany4022  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there Lise, we're sorry you're having such troubles! Try to screw the coil into the chimney section of the tank before the base section; This could also solve your issue. When tightening coils down, you should feel the o-rings compress. You don't need to tighten beyond feeling the o-ring compress.

      I bougth another baby beast tank yesterday And just like you showed in the video the coil that was pre installed had a coil like This. So i fixed the coil And the tank stopped leaking. • @blackhousevaporcompany4022
      @blackhousevaporcompany4022  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like your coil is not making a solid connection to the bottom of the tank. Double check that the coil is as tight in the base of the tank as it can be!

    My English is not very good, but I see you only the iron that shifts with light pressure, which makes the silicone ring better in place? Can I also press the 2 threads at the M2 dual coils downwards or do not the coil work? Thank you in advance!

    • @blackhousevaporcompany4022
      @blackhousevaporcompany4022  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm, not sure I understand the question fully. The M2 coils by SMOK are very similar to all of their other coils. If you use the same twisting and pushing method for the contact on the bottom of the coilhead it should function the same as on the TFV8 coils.

    • @DutchTweaker
      @DutchTweaker 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your answer! I have now taken another coil out of the package, so far it's okay. But bad that so many coils are of moderate quality.

    • @toneofease
      @toneofease 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      empeemp he pushed the bottom of the coil up so it has a tighter seal.

  • @sries74
    @sries74 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Um...what you do to "fix" it is done when you screw it into the base. the bottom of the coil hits the bottom of the base and forces the seal upward. If it leaks, you prolly didn't screw it on all the way.

    • @PK__44

    I just bought a box of 5 which of course everyone knows is not cheap.... 3 out of the 5 were duds! I tossed them out and tried a new one every time... basically it was just tasting extremely burnt as if the cotton was completely dried up which it I knew wasn't the case. This makes total sense tho! Damn! Wish I would've fixed those duds now instead of tossing them. Oh well... u live and u learn right? Lol! But seriously... THANK YOU!
