So much living history! I hope it will be around for many more years to come! I saw Jesse's video with you, and I appreciate you filming all of it. I'm a classic lake freighter kind of guy and I love classic lake boats. Some were WWII Tankers then converted into Bulk Carriers after the war with the most notable examples being the Leon Falk Jr. (ex Winter Hill Tanker)(scrapped 1985), Paul H. Carnahan (ex Honey Hill Tanker)(scrapped 1986), Middletown/American Victory (ex Marquette Tanker)(scrapped 2018), and the Lee A. Tregurtha (ex USS Chiwawa Tanker) which still sails today. Of course, none of them were Victory Ships such as the john W. Brown, but they did serve in the war and the Tregurtha still sails with its battle stars on it which you can see on the side of its forward pilothouse.
If you type in the names, you can see what they looked like after they were converted here: www.shiphotos.com/
    Thanks again for the video!

@@RailPreserver2K I know, thought I’d share the tankers from the same war. I thought there were some Victory Ships converted in to freighters, but I could only find tankers. So I thought I should still share some ships that were built for the same cause but different responsibilities.
