Wow, this is fantastic! I am planning a trip to Mallorca and this video gave me something to look forward to. It also enticed me to go snorkeling. Never done it before but Mallorca seems like the perfect place to start. Can you share what camera you used to get all of those underwater shots? Those moments were stunning 😍
I used my GoPro Hero 10! I used it in 4k cinematic mode and it came out super clear. Have a great time in Mallorca! I was not very confident in my snorkel abilities before this trip but the water is very salty so you float a bit easier. Bring swim fins and you'll be fine!
I love this video!! I have a few questions I’m hoping you can answer for me please!! When you snorkel, do you leave your stuff on the beach/rocks? Is that safe? Do you know if there are places in Mallorca to buy cheap snorkel gear and fins and a life jacket? Or are rentals available everywhere? When you snorkel…do you just put your stuff down and go from the beach? You don’t need to go on some boat tours out to snorkel spots? For food, did you find that a lot of (good) restaurants were full and required reservations? Or were you able to find good food just by walking around?
Thank you for watching and for the questions! For some of the snorkel spots, we were lucky enough to have our accommodation (VRBO) within walking distance so I only took my snorkel gear. For other beaches, we did leave some of our stuff on the beach (like a towel, sunscreen, etc) but left valuables in the car. During my trip I felt safe, and trusted the locals and tourists there that seemed to respect people's belongings, but always a good idea to keep valuables in a safe location such as back at your accommodations or in a locked car. I brought my own snorkel gear so I'm not sure about rentals or the price to buy gear, but I assume there should be places to rent gear in some popular places. For snorkeling locations, there are places you can go by boat or just from the beach, or "cala". During my trip, we only made reservations for a few restaurants, but found others by maps or walking. In Deia, many restaurants were fully booked for the evenings, so I think reservations would be a good idea. Hope this helps!

Yes I would highly recommend a car! It’s quite big and there’s a lot to see, but I also saw a lot of tour buses that dropped people off in various locations, and there’s also this amazing trolley that goes by the coast!

I went in October and didn't think it was too crowded, some beaches are more popular than others. I'm sure it depends on season as well, I'm not sure if June is high season for tourists so might be work a check!
Yes! We went to Cala Figuera and Cala Pi which seems pretty far south but not the very south point, maybe that has beautiful areas too. My top 3 locations I enjoyed are Cala Deia for snorkeling, Valldemossa for the architecture and small town feel, and Mirador es Colomer for the breathtaking views. Thank you! I brought my own snorkel gear, and we met up with a friend from Spain who was very comfortable driving in Mallorca. We did rent a car at the airport, and parking wasn't too much of an issue during the time we went and the places we went to, but I would think Cala Deia would be tough, the lot filled up most days and there was a line of cars waiting. We were lucky enough to stay in Cala Deia so we didn't have to worry about parking there. Hope that helped!

Yes it was! It was insanely beautiful, my friend found it on airbnb so I owe her the credit. Deia and Valldemossa were peaceful and charming, and Palma was much more lively, though they are a bit far from each other, so it depends on your preference. I hope you have an amazing time in Mallorca!

I was there beginning of October and the weather was SO nice! Definitely some hot days but it felt good to swim in the sea everyday in just a bikini, all day long. Not too humid or dry either, just really pleasant. Evenings were a bit cooler but I was comfortable in a dress and sandals, only needed a light coverup if restaurants were cool inside.

Wow, this is fantastic! I am planning a trip to Mallorca and this video gave me something to look forward to. It also enticed me to go snorkeling. Never done it before but Mallorca seems like the perfect place to start.

I used my GoPro Hero 10! I used it in 4k cinematic mode and it came out super clear. Have a great time in Mallorca! I was not very confident in my snorkel abilities before this trip but the water is very salty so you float a bit easier. Bring swim fins and you'll be fine!

When you snorkel, do you leave your stuff on the beach/rocks? Is that safe?
Do you know if there are places in Mallorca to buy cheap snorkel gear and fins and a life jacket? Or are rentals available everywhere?
When you snorkel…do you just put your stuff down and go from the beach? You don’t need to go on some boat tours out to snorkel spots?
For food, did you find that a lot of (good) restaurants were full and required reservations? Or were you able to find good food just by walking around?

For some of the snorkel spots, we were lucky enough to have our accommodation (VRBO) within walking distance so I only took my snorkel gear. For other beaches, we did leave some of our stuff on the beach (like a towel, sunscreen, etc) but left valuables in the car.
During my trip I felt safe, and trusted the locals and tourists there that seemed to respect people's belongings, but always a good idea to keep valuables in a safe location such as back at your accommodations or in a locked car.
I brought my own snorkel gear so I'm not sure about rentals or the price to buy gear, but I assume there should be places to rent gear in some popular places.
For snorkeling locations, there are places you can go by boat or just from the beach, or "cala".
During my trip, we only made reservations for a few restaurants, but found others by maps or walking. In Deia, many restaurants were fully booked for the evenings, so I think reservations would be a good idea. Hope this helps!

@@travishayes840 Ohhh we seemed to get pretty lucky in most places, also it might have been an off season? But Deia looked packed everyday. We were lucky enough to stay in Deia. When we went to Palma we parked at a parking garage near a grocery store and it didn't seem too crowded that day

Yes I would highly recommend a car! It’s quite big and there’s a lot to see, but I also saw a lot of tour buses that dropped people off in various locations, and there’s also this amazing trolley that goes by the coast!

Did you find the beaches/island to be overcrowded? Thinking of going in late June next year but have heard about how the island is full..
I went in October and didn't think it was too crowded, some beaches are more popular than others. I'm sure it depends on season as well, I'm not sure if June is high season for tourists so might be work a check!

Yes! We went to Cala Figuera and Cala Pi which seems pretty far south but not the very south point, maybe that has beautiful areas too. My top 3 locations I enjoyed are Cala Deia for snorkeling, Valldemossa for the architecture and small town feel, and Mirador es Colomer for the breathtaking views. I hope you have a great time on your trip!

Thank you! I brought my own snorkel gear, and we met up with a friend from Spain who was very comfortable driving in Mallorca. We did rent a car at the airport, and parking wasn't too much of an issue during the time we went and the places we went to, but I would think Cala Deia would be tough, the lot filled up most days and there was a line of cars waiting. We were lucky enough to stay in Cala Deia so we didn't have to worry about parking there. Hope that helped!

Yes it was! It was insanely beautiful, my friend found it on airbnb so I owe her the credit. Deia and Valldemossa were peaceful and charming, and Palma was much more lively, though they are a bit far from each other, so it depends on your preference. I hope you have an amazing time in Mallorca!

What time of the year did you guys visit Mallorca? What was the weather like
I was there beginning of October and the weather was SO nice! Definitely some hot days but it felt good to swim in the sea everyday in just a bikini, all day long. Not too humid or dry either, just really pleasant. Evenings were a bit cooler but I was comfortable in a dress and sandals, only needed a light coverup if restaurants were cool inside.
