I live in New York City (Bronx to be specific) and you would think they would have them everywhere, but maybe I'm blind or something but I didn't come across from them up until a few years ago when I was walking around Chinatown. They were being sold on the street by street vendors, they were so good! To this day I haven't spotted them anywhere else.
Here in Australia we have this amazing ice cream shop that does 'Outback Flavors' and it's called Bush Tucker Ice Cream. They have flavours like Wattleseed, Lemon Myrtle (one of which is a seed from a tree, the other a flower). You should try making ice cream out of the herb in your garden, it would be interesting for sure

I like the way you describe your dishes at the end. it's almost like savoring it by myself, and really gives me the idea of what it tastes like. I know it sounds redundant, but what I mean, is that I can really have an idea of what to expect when I make it.
Thank you for always keeping your videos simple and short! I cant stand watching recipe videos where its 15-20mins long cuz they just wanna talk our ears out. I tend to fall asleep half way thru those but never for yours so thank u! Lol Also for actually TASTING your food unlike some who just swallows it in a sec then exaggerate "OH DELICIOUS!" Like how? Your taste buds didnt even taste it lolol
Tip for the dragon fruit. You don't have to peel ithe outside leaves like an artichoke. You can just cut it in half and scoop out the inside. Dragon fruit behaves a bit like avocado. So should be easy to take the outer skin off.
If you scoop it you won't get all the fruit out. That's not the way you cut an avocado either. That's just lazy and its sad that you're kinda wasting a fruit that expensive.

Could you do a behind the scenes video one day to show how you film? You get such intimate shots of the food and I don't know how you manage to do that at the same time as cooking.

The pitaya (which is the one I know) grows here in México and in other places and has a different aspect than Dragon fruit! Btw that "cupcake" looks delicious 💕
Hi Byron my dragon fruit came out white on the inside i wanted so bad that pinky fushia color ! so i really dont know if the purple one tastes differently than the white one because honestly mine had no flavour like it almost taste like nothing , it's really hard to describe it . so that's why i did not give this recipe a try until i ask !

Hey Byron, try cutting the dragonfruit into quarters, you can peel back the skin from the corners SUPER easy!
I might add some dark chocolate to the inner port of the bowl. Great idea to use dragon fruit! 🍨

majid alshaqsi They are just two different varieties of dragon fruit. The white one is more common but the red one is a bit sweeter.

Dragon fruit has a very light flavor. You should try to concentrate the flavor some how or use a larger dragon fruit to yogurt and cream ratio.
