This song became my favourite from the band. Its just.... everything. Perfect vocals, melodies, guitar work..... everything is perfect. I fucking love it. This year is already musically amazing.

I was practically the only one in the whole school listening to metal because it was not 'cool'. But metal has given me so much and it still does.
Im from Vietnam, i was not only having a horribly hard time at school for listening to Metal, but up until the very present, im still facing kind of reaction like “what is metal aniway? Something headache and cant hear what vocalist sing?” None of my colleagues understand. But to be honest; i dont give a damn as ive been alone in my country, listening to metal and Amorphis for my whole life as long as there are wonderful songs like this exist.
Beautiful melodies, beautiful images. I really love a combination of harsh and clean vocals. Wonderful stuff guys - a perfect conclusion to my weekend.
The thing I love about Amorphis is you really can not categorize them in a particular genre of metal. They have evolved so many ways over their career. They are in they're own category and MASTERS of it!!!
This is such a great song. This album, I think, is going to top Under the Red Cloud. I discovered Amorphis back in 2006 and they have been my favorite band ever since. Their entire discography has been nothing short of spectacular. That into definitely harkened back to the Tuonela/AM Universum days and then blended into something I could have definitely seen on Silent Waters. Again, absolutely great song. Great reaction, guys!

Oh man, this album is the very top of my waiting list. Cool thing in this video is that it features Pekka Kainulainen (the old guy) who makes poems about Kalevala and similar stuff for Amorphis and they use them translated to English as lyrics in their songs.
Last week I bought my tickets to Wacken and this song gets me so hyped now. It's so worth to see Wintersun, Amorphis, Nightwish, Gojira, Ghost (to mention a few)! :D I understand your crowdfuding to go to Tuska, but you'll miss a lot at Wacken this year! We will be getting to Tuska next year, but our next place to visit will be Wacken....I just think Antonio has to be a bit older to really enjoy and last the harshness of the Wacken experience.
Even more they are missing not getting to Nummirock a week before Tuska :D Not as good line-up this year tho neiter Tuska but maybe next year is better. Still this year is not bad but less interesting names for me.

In my opinion this song isn't as good as The Bee, but still good. Queen of Time is the most anticipated album this year for me also. By the way did you know that the guy wandering in the mountains is Pekka Kainulainen who writes their lyrics?
It seems to be a trend with amorphis when they release a new album, the first song they release is so jamed packed full of awsome growls and cleans, it gets you so hype for more then they release the second song, it is a good song but it is mostly clean without the hype of the growls, one example death of a king, then they released sacrifice.
Excellent approach to the perception of art and thank you for bringing it up. I've been struggling for years to persuade people that metal IS a high form of musical art, the growls, the distortion, all have a place and a reason to exist in a song. But you need to be able to FEEL this damn thing called music flow in your veins, you need to let yourself be carried away to the heavenly or dark and scary places it wants to take you. Music is like a book. If you don't read the story and just judge it by the cover, then you have understood nothing. Like a painting, if you only see it as a mixture of colors, you've missed the whole point.
Queen of time will be one of the greatest albums this year. I can't wait the day of it's release... also Children of bodom, rammstein and ghost are making new album... awesome year

The song "Alone" from the 2001 Am Universum album is probably my favourite. The later stuff with Tomi Joutsen is especially good because there's much more depth in the vocals. More Finnish bands, can't wait tomorrow then!

As a guy who doesn't really like harsh vocals in metal music, Amorphis really is a rare exception in my favourite bands, but that's not se weird when you listen how good clean singer Joutsen is and how amazing melodies this band produces. Skyforger is still my favourite Amorphis album and Heaven of My Heart my favourite track. No other Amorphis song has managed to combine that level of melodies and heavyness in pure clean vocals. Still remember hearing that song first time live and getting goosebumps... especially when the solo hits like million volts. Nevertheless it is good to see that Amorphis has never really declined in their quality and I'm really looking forward to this album!

His vocal range is purely amazing. I know you guys have done one Soilwork song before, but Bjorn Strid, the lead singer, also has that amazing range. Check out Crater by Earthside that features Bjorn to hear his amazing clean vocals and Proponent for Sentience by Allegaeon to hear how good his harsh vocals are.
On my first listen of the song I already thought there's something about this, and repetition revealed it has some intricate and beautiful dynamics despite having such a simple structure. Compared to other songs of theirs in a similar vein I think this is their best in a long time, and I prefer it over The Bee. The climactic ending is slightly longer on the album version.

I think "The Bee" is a more dynamic and interesting song, whereas this is more easy-listening. But still a great song, the vocal melodies are simple but effective. I also said this in your previous Amorphis-video, but one cannot emphasize the singer's abilities. He has a unique dark tone to his clean and harsh voice.

I have never ever commented anything on TH-cam. Huge fan of your channel however. Check best live performance from Amorphis - Towards And Against - Forging a Land of Thousand Lakes[Oulu]. It is way better than album version, you can *feel* guys enjoy playing it and how it makes audience go mental. Only needs some cowbell and triangle to be perfect.
Think you could pitch harmonica alongside more cowbell? XD This song showcased well the other side of Amorphis to you, mellower melancholic rock stemming from their proggier early 2000s era. Not as popular among people as it's "radiofriendly" but I appreciate those times as they remarkably expanded their musical horizons.

I also prefer The Bee, but this song is very very good, very different....so really hard to compare the two.
This song felt a bit boring at first because it was so different from The Bee but after few listens this is such a great song.

This song showcased well the other side of Amorphis to you, mellower melancholic rock stemming from their proggier early 2000s era. Not as popular among people as it's "radiofriendly" but I appreciate those times as they remarkably expanded their musical horizons.
