I like that you guys continue to innovate. The new polisher looks very intriguing and innovative. I also know that running a successful company takes a great team. Thanks for showcasing the entire team at SEMA on these videos. They all truly make DIY Detail work!
What a nice booth for all the fascinating stuff to come . This will be worth seeing till the end . Very proud of you guys. You guys changed the detailing industry for the better . Well done!!
Why not rotate the battery 90 degrees so it goes along the length of the arm? It might obstruct the view a little less, yet would still be able to have the same balance.
Part of the answer is in the video. The front to back balance point has to be at a certain point. Secondly, a wider stance rather than a narrow one helps maintain balance of the pad. Think of what a tight rope walker does; they carry a very long stick that sticks out side to side, to fine tune their balance on the rope, where as a narrow one prevents you from being in tune with tiny changes in balance.
Please please please make a dedicated video on how to use a polisher + ceramic gloss from start to finish. I've seen you guys use a polisher but it lacked specifics such as cleaning the pad, using a dry pad etc. etc. The idea of using your ceramic gloss + a polisher is brilliant from 1 or 2 of your previous videos but it was not comprehensive. If you guys do make a video with this I will be even more happy with DIY Detail. Thanks so much for everything you guys do!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember when the Hitachi battery operated socket tool came out and I loved it. I hate the battery at the end of the polisher which is why I hands never bought one. I want to order the 25mm throw cordless polisher when it is available.
Very cool, I want the rotary for sure. Only critique is the color. The yellow just doesn't do it for me. Black, red and white with a touch of yellow would be much sleeker.
@ Thank You Sir for your Time, thank you for sharing your knowledge and for striving to provide cutting edge products. Your passion is contagious to us who enjoy the detailing process. Sincerely
Rupes thought they had an Ahha moment but due to the battery placement of being too low, I felt it was a waste of money buying their cordless (If you are in the DFW are, DM so I can give you mine at a steal price). As far as your innovative idea of the battery placement. I will need to handle it to see how it handles when you hit a rough patch on the panel. It is top heavy and I foresee it toppling to the left or right if you don’t have a good handle on the handle. Also, Let me see how it looks when you rest it down.
I don't know about AHA moments, but I love my Rupes cordless, the battery placement is not as important, I can work around it easily, it's the feel, the smoothness, lightness and the performance of a machine that is a deciding factor for me (I can't stress this engiugh FOR ME) and I get all of it from HLR. Still, I think this will be a cool and a good machine at a decent price point, but you must also consider availability, here in the EU Flex and Rupes are king and are everywhere and the servicing of these are common, unlike unfortunately the DIY ones that even the corded didn't come here (I know about that, I've waited for them for a year..) as of yet. Cheers DIY!
@@victoryensured7137 Rupes battery placement is proven to be Trophy Polisher but not a Primary go to cordless like their other proven legacy. I am surprise no-one notice this in testing. That’s my take.
@diydetailofficial right on i was hoping they would roughly reflect the price of your corded machines now i really want one 🤣 how long does canada have to wait?

What a great idea!!! I’ve always thought having that huge battery hanging off of the back of the machine to be very cumbersome. Great job.
Thank you.
Can’t wait to get them

Have you thought about designing a cordless palm sander / polisher than works well for the application of the APP and some coatings as well?

Thank you.
Really looking forward to owning one. Well done with the design! How do we pre-order them?
More information to come
Nice video! Congratulations guys!!
Thanks so much!
Why not rotate the battery 90 degrees so it goes along the length of the arm? It might obstruct the view a little less, yet would still be able to have the same balance.
Would probably mean the battery port would have to sit higher as well as still be wider than the body of the tool.

We have tried many different methods, this is the best placement. The battery isn’t in the field of vision when polishing.
Can’t wait to hear more!!
Thank you.
Can you use the yellow lake country backing plate on the polisher?
Yes

For a beginner polisher which one would you recommend? The Rotary or The DA?
Rotary for light polishing, if you want to remove larger defects, then the DA
