There is a saying in Hindi "Ghar ka Jogi Jogda, Aan Gaon ka siddh" means a Yogi in the neighborhood is no Yogi at all, but of a different place is the perfect one. We would realize the value of Vedic knowledge only when foreigners acknowledge it and when we lose it.

But certain amount of our culture comes from Veda and Gita. In Upanishad it is said : Let noble things come to us from all corners. In the present day world we have access to knowledge of all religions and all branches of science . Knowledge is an universal subject and we need keep our mind open to get the best out of life. To hang on to one religious belief alone is like to live a frog in a small well all its life. We need to let our mind expand to the Universal dimensions. I am reading the Gita now in quarantine. I have finished 9 chapters, Being Indian and even though I studied Sanskrit for 5 years from 7th to 12th, cannot make me understand even a single sentence which is a bit sad. I have to read the sanskrit Verse which has been translated to English with commentary Swami Chinmayananda. But I am glad that I started reading. It is the most beautiful soulful book I have ever read!!> Because of that life is so much more happier.
