I lived in Cairo and agree it’s stunning. I was there in the late 90s though. Some travel bloggers are saying stay away for various nefarious reasons. I lived 4 years in Philippines. Best place ever for great prices, sun and wonderful people. Thailand is my all time favourite and the first place I recommend to new travellers.

These numbers are pretty accurate, but I've lived in many of the countries on his list and confirm its a lot chealer id you live there rather than traveling through in hotels/hostels

I wouldn't really recommend Romania, it's not that safe and actually isnt that cheap at all

I dont know any of those places, but I know Georgia, Iran, Armenia, Czech Rep and Bolivia. Those are cheap if you look thoroughly.
