CXI.Animus Pve gear has no toughness so in pvp how much damage you take is based off toughness where in pve it’s defense. You’ll need pvp gear or you will die very quickly compared to someone wearing pvp
First of all, let me praise you for such a detailed video. I actually watched ALMOST all of it. I learned that the SC can be good for usage, especially about the four Solace of the Sea pools. That's amazing. I'm shocked I never thought about it. I guess I gave up on it since it wasn't your typical "oh crap" healer SC and saw that the shield was only for myself that I use the other SC in a different LO. I have about four different heal LOs. I have been playing the game for a long time. Though I took many breaks, I have always came back to the game. Like I recently came back to the game and last played over a year ago, stopped around the E3 stuff. stopped at 375 sps and now I have 400 sps in 4 days with no extra money spent. So I'm just putting that out there not to brag, but to show you I can be credible with what I say next... 18:54-19:20, I like to correct you. Yes, there are two moves that are single target that you did not mention: Bubble and Dehydrate. Those are both single target moves.
Love this video. I have a few notes though. I used the single target rotation and found it the best rounded for multi and single target. I don't have transformation card leveled so I believe the loadout was not best suited for me. Below is what I modified and use. Shark Frenzy, High Tide, Aqualance, Tsunami Strike, Robot Sidekick, Call of the deep Robot Sidekick Summon: (Shark Frenzy + High Tide -> Aqualance -> Tsunami Strike + water combo x2 -> repeat) When supercharge: High Tide -> Shark Frenzy -> Call of the Deep This gives me good power efficiency and good DPS.
So i had to come back to this. I set your suggested loadouts and SP. I absolutely love it! That rip-sol-rip combo is awesome! I also through out the shield right after it. Anyway, i was curious why you dont use high tide and mending wave? I saw you suggest mending wave for 4 man raid which i will try out. Yes, but you can get close to it with extended supercharge in your chest mod and the 5% head mod supercharged flood of power. Scrap of the Soul cloak and eye of the gemini at 160+ will also get you better results

Was thinking of dropping soul cloak and using the chest mod instead so then my arts would be trans strat and eye for the extra 12% supercharge back. Is it worth it to get eye of Gemini to 200 for the 5% resto since I’ll be using the SC quite frequently ? I never really used orb unless I’m solo healing for the oh shit moments. What would u recommend?
Nasser Alajme if you are staying water EoG at 200 will be better than the other arts. I rarely even use the 4man with water so Page isn’t as helpful, strat is useful if you want to dps with it as well at 200, orb doesn’t need to be at 200 at all,
I have notice you keep glossing over the fact that tempest guard and bauble can both be used at the same time. From what i was told tempest guard reduces dmg by a certain amount and that includes reducing damage bauble absorbs. I noticed that in your shield video that these two was also separate but its worth adding a separate figure for what these shields do together.
Eanur not glossing over its just not as relevant. They will stack just as other shields will with various power sets as well but they are still just as susceptible to shield penetration mechanics and the fact that with water only 3 players and yourself would get that stacking bubble out of 8. Even if you used riptide on bubble there is no guarantee that the 2nd bubble would go to the other players that weren’t shielded. Bubble and tempest is actually less effective than other stacking shields because as you said the damage that goes through bubble is being eaten by bubble and reducing its damage cap to be used to absorb the rest of the attack. It’s helpful and apart of the 2 shield build I mentioned and was the go to in survival mode season 1 but it’s situational in content today. Some fights can use shields others healing

Tropical Wharf strat has to be at 200 to be really effective, Orb can be 120 and still be good, Trans can also be at 120 it’s just that your heals will be 4% less then compared to trans at 200.
mods for your gear come from the generator in your base it will dispense tactical mods. The catalysts for artifacts you get from the vendor for source marks
ObsidianChillDCUO Water prec here. Riptide is actually a damage loss on weapon buff and clipping without phase dodge in general. Flurry spam and refresh every 20 seconds once bubble and phase dodge are off cool down for the win. But I guess not everyone is ss... Also, I know I'm prec and not might but any particular reason you never use dehydrate on single target? That shiet hits like a truck around 200k on a crit with trans card and without splitting costing you 2500sc. You can run shark/depth charge, heat vision, torrent, sidekick and dehydrate and put grim instead of scrap. Alternatively, you could rotate zip tie/grapple with heat vision and torrent and have your pets do the work... Or I got a better idea... How about clipping nado pull+priority 😂 every 1.75 second between torrent and heat vision to get dehydrate even faster until you get filled to 2500sc with healers spamming gemini and you cheesing it out on single target. Coming up next, Obsidian clips tornado pull with priority heals to dps in the "updated" guide series lol
Our healer loadout is similar, I've been water since it came out, personally the raid heal isn't a better option over the group heal, if you clip group heal with primary it's still a 5p heal but it's 3 second shorter cooldown, the raid heal being on cooldown is very inconvenient, I use transformation card and strategist card so that double solace is pretty much all I need to raid heal (with demons fang) although I do have an armory with both group heal and raid heal clip, you can clip them 4x with flood of power to instantly heal all members of the raid from below 10% health to full (boss kill shot) water is easily the top well rounded in all categories in my opinion. Definitely Favorite power.
Chaosstorm5273 I found especially in these metal part 2 raids and even some of the past recent dlcs the entire group is taking damage more often so having to hit multiple mending waves when I could just use 1 blessing and then have solace hots finish the rest of the healing was better for myself
I get by without 8 man heal with shields, priority, 3 man heal, riptide and Flood of power. Never needed orb to heal anything... scrap/eye/menacles will solo heal anything... For PCe you just drop the menacles for transformation card and drop bubble for solace. Ideally, for pce you'd run trans/page and gemini

I’ve got a question that’s been on my mind a lot lately. I’m just now starting to get into prec dps w Water. A lot of people are telling me that in general Grim artifact is better than VWD. That I gotta have trans strat and grim. But I see how Water has an advantage w riptide. Does that mean the damage gap will be mid-high if I get grim instead of VWD? I still haven’t leveled up neither of those I’m just saving my xp to figure this one out lol
there is not a large difference between grim and vwd, its marginal, as that doesn't account for the fact that supply drops or outside buffs or neo venom will increase VWD dmg even further where nothing buffs grim in a prec rotation.
ObsidianChillDCUO so with all of those buffs into account , the difference can be large ? I’d imagine a whole 20-30min raid will make a big difference isn’t it ?
@@inkXIV it somewhat evens out because say you pop the weapon buff you have 6s so if you have to block, get stunned etc you did 0 extra artifact dmg were grim would still have the pet damage during the same time. That's why its marginal, you'll see higher spikes in dmg with VWD but more consistent with grim. But it's not worth leveling one over the other if you already have 1 at 160/200 etc

water healing will do very well this DLC, although using solace of the seas in some fights will be not recommended because of the FX but water healing will be nice :)

personally not a fan, I treat it the same as any other channeled heal, there may be moments where you need a priority heal or a shield and you'll be right in the middle of TS. I don't feel its necessary as no high tide rotations are practical.
Best artifacts for atomic might dps build? I use tetra, soul cloak and eog. I have tetra high level for me as a f2p and I have transform card and strategist card. Should I scrap the tetra and replace with transform or is there another better combo
LBX MEGA Trans/Grim are the two you want for sure for atomic. Third one is up to you really, solar, stone, strat, scrap are all viable, just depends how you play... For pure single target though I think solar is slightly better than the rest, for atomic that is... For most power set for single target fights in general 8 out of 10 times your ideal go to will be solar/trans/strat. Powers that don't really need heat vision but need the PI such as light, celest, earth etc will be running with grim over solar. All powers are different and will run different artifacts for both AoE and ST. For ST and AoE you definitely want the trans card though. The other 2 will vary depending on your power set and whether or not you need AoE. I'd go with trans/grim and would keep the scrap to be honest for atomic. Solar is better than scrap but not better to justify losing 50% Nth metal
Mk2017 K I know it’s not smart but I don’t like changing my podium for different fights so I always use the same load out for every single fight. Always use atomic range for everything. ST, AoE and, don’t really use mêler either. My current load out is 104 tetra, 82 eog and scrap. So is it ideal for me to then use eog and scrap with neo venom spam and then use transform for solo or aoe and use tetra for bosses?
prec dps will take too long to earn it and while it would still be good with low might, neo venom or dehydrate will be much more beneficial for prec dps.
Can't decide between 2 roles Healer DPS - water - electricity - nature Tank DPS - Rage - Atomic Help anyone? Would be nice if someone could help explain why each of this choice are still good in 2020, Also obsidian which is your fav power?
aces chia why this powers are still good? Rage tank for starters is super easy to use and you can only die if your being lazy or you rage crash as a dps the melee is amazing but kinda lacks long range dmg. Atomic tank isn’t as op as it used to be but it’s still a solid tank if used correctly you will still never die with it on the dps side the melee is also really good and the single target dmg is pretty decent. Water healing is just super easy to use and has the 2nd best animation the power to look nice you can either go shield load out or go all heals it isn’t complicated at all and easy to pick up and use the dps side it does really good dmg on melee it does really good dmg on ads and decent damage on boss pretty. Electricity heals if you like burst heals than you going to love electric plus the animation for electric may annoy you tho on tight spaces sometimes you will see nothing but thunder clouds lol but it looks pretty cool electric just a lot of burst witch is awesome electric dps well it’s amazing for ads but lacks boss dmg. Nature healing with the transformation card and the supercharge your going to be seeing crits for days in my opinion it’s the best burst healing power pretty sure the best healing power in general and the dps is amazing both melee and single target are still top tier and hey you can turn into a wolf a dog an insect or a gorilla pretty cool. Not the best explanation but I hope this helps as to why any of this powers are still good choice in 2020

aces chia if your trying to get to ads or the boss as fast as possible so you can have higher chance at being top dps that acro is the best since you can hold x and grapple super fast from one spot to the next I’m acro right now but I’m switching to super speed soon only because I like the way my character looks when it’s just standing in super speed.
@@MentorDC electric healing is more bursty so it can use more power but with the new artifacts it because alot more balanced. Electric just doesn't have alot of heal over times vs like nature or celes. Electric dps is the best ranged dps and you have a good super

eddie torres brawling if your prec dps than yeah it’s okay but you might want to switch to dual wields weapon mastery for max dmg. if your using them for healer side I mean your better off with hand blaster dual pistol or martial arts unless your using the weapon mastery with brawler into martial art.

Kinda off topic, I been testing page and I understanding Page is basically a fail-safe or a quick buffer before you can get the group healed up. I been testing it at 200 and the most it heals for is just under 44k (with 10 stacks), also to note is that if you play nature it doesn't refresh/stack the metabolism group heal by just using flourish to refresh your hots.
@@itsphill3617 hey Phil, I guess it would depend on the power, it's just not quite as effective as i originally thought. But in it's defense that is for the whole 45k fail-safe for the raid party at 200 when they drop below 40%. I'm sure it will save a pile of people, like when the giant hawk in DM does his AOE slam. Guess it would just depend on your power. I switched from water to nature the other day I'm thinking I'll run trans, strat, and orb since all the hot crits with nature. For Water I could see it really being helpful. I wish I had a PC and not a Mac so i could play on test to try these things out without leveling the artifacts fully to try new things.
@@itsphill3617 I think I was playing water wrong I was relying on manacle and shields 8 man then riptide to refresh and then when riptide got to 50% I would use 8 man again, and when the tank would spike damage I would use the four man so they got the shield and into priority (with orb artifact) but even over 500sp I was struggling with power in alot of raids, other two powers were mending 4 man and solace. I should have waited and tried out this loadout first. But i'm pretty happy with Nature it barely uses power no need for demons fang anymore. Wish you the best with your switch!
@@ObsidianChill ah ok thank you. I’m still playing around with it myself to get ideas. I run trans, scrap and solar for my single target but I realised scrap doesn’t effect dehydrate as much. So I’ll be putting grim back in. I do also use a different range target loadout but again still experimenting.

Corey Jordan in 2011 they had a mega server merge so before that there was multiple, prob around 9-12 between call I can’t remember exactly but after that they were merged to the ones we have now
you can still run regular heat vision, you just wouldn't get the aoe explosion at the end. If you have the transformation card leveled eventually regular heat vision is almost as good.
I had people tell me both, obviously because I am might based on live I can't run raids as prec all I can do is offer the rotations but you certainly can be right :)

the orb is nice for water and only really needs to be 120, the soul cloak is also good for maintaining flood of power

I get by without 8 man heal with shields, priority, 3 man heal, riptide and Flood of power. Never needed orb to heal anything... scrap/eye/menacles will solo heal anything... For PCe you just drop the menacles for transformation card and drop bubble for solace. Ideally, for pce you'd run trans/page and gemini

I’ve got a question that’s been on my mind a lot lately. I’m just now starting to get into prec dps w Water. A lot of people are telling me that in general Grim artifact is better than VWD. That I gotta have trans strat and grim. But I see how Water has an advantage w riptide. Does that mean the damage gap will be mid-high if I get grim instead of VWD? I still haven’t leveled up neither of those I’m just saving my xp to figure this one out lol
there is not a large difference between grim and vwd, its marginal, as that doesn't account for the fact that supply drops or outside buffs or neo venom will increase VWD dmg even further where nothing buffs grim in a prec rotation.
ObsidianChillDCUO so with all of those buffs into account , the difference can be large ? I’d imagine a whole 20-30min raid will make a big difference isn’t it ?
@@inkXIV it somewhat evens out because say you pop the weapon buff you have 6s so if you have to block, get stunned etc you did 0 extra artifact dmg were grim would still have the pet damage during the same time. That's why its marginal, you'll see higher spikes in dmg with VWD but more consistent with grim. But it's not worth leveling one over the other if you already have 1 at 160/200 etc

water healing will do very well this DLC, although using solace of the seas in some fights will be not recommended because of the FX but water healing will be nice :)

personally not a fan, I treat it the same as any other channeled heal, there may be moments where you need a priority heal or a shield and you'll be right in the middle of TS. I don't feel its necessary as no high tide rotations are practical.

Best artifacts for atomic might dps build? I use tetra, soul cloak and eog. I have tetra high level for me as a f2p and I have transform card and strategist card. Should I scrap the tetra and replace with transform or is there another better combo
LBX MEGA Trans/Grim are the two you want for sure for atomic. Third one is up to you really, solar, stone, strat, scrap are all viable, just depends how you play... For pure single target though I think solar is slightly better than the rest, for atomic that is...
For most power set for single target fights in general 8 out of 10 times your ideal go to will be solar/trans/strat. Powers that don't really need heat vision but need the PI such as light, celest, earth etc will be running with grim over solar. All powers are different and will run different artifacts for both AoE and ST. For ST and AoE you definitely want the trans card though. The other 2 will vary depending on your power set and whether or not you need AoE. I'd go with trans/grim and would keep the scrap to be honest for atomic. Solar is better than scrap but not better to justify losing 50% Nth metal

Mk2017 K I know it’s not smart but I don’t like changing my podium for different fights so I always use the same load out for every single fight. Always use atomic range for everything. ST, AoE and, don’t really use mêler either. My current load out is 104 tetra, 82 eog and scrap. So is it ideal for me to then use eog and scrap with neo venom spam and then use transform for solo or aoe and use tetra for bosses?

prec dps will take too long to earn it and while it would still be good with low might, neo venom or dehydrate will be much more beneficial for prec dps.

waterspouts can be blocked by line of sight, so if a pet or npc like aquaman is infront you will do zero damage.

aces chia why this powers are still good? Rage tank for starters is super easy to use and you can only die if your being lazy or you rage crash as a dps the melee is amazing but kinda lacks long range dmg. Atomic tank isn’t as op as it used to be but it’s still a solid tank if used correctly you will still never die with it on the dps side the melee is also really good and the single target dmg is pretty decent. Water healing is just super easy to use and has the 2nd best animation the power to look nice you can either go shield load out or go all heals it isn’t complicated at all and easy to pick up and use the dps side it does really good dmg on melee it does really good dmg on ads and decent damage on boss pretty. Electricity heals if you like burst heals than you going to love electric plus the animation for electric may annoy you tho on tight spaces sometimes you will see nothing but thunder clouds lol but it looks pretty cool electric just a lot of burst witch is awesome electric dps well it’s amazing for ads but lacks boss dmg. Nature healing with the transformation card and the supercharge your going to be seeing crits for days in my opinion it’s the best burst healing power pretty sure the best healing power in general and the dps is amazing both melee and single target are still top tier and hey you can turn into a wolf a dog an insect or a gorilla pretty cool. Not the best explanation but I hope this helps as to why any of this powers are still good choice in 2020

aces chia if your trying to get to ads or the boss as fast as possible so you can have higher chance at being top dps that acro is the best since you can hold x and grapple super fast from one spot to the next I’m acro right now but I’m switching to super speed soon only because I like the way my character looks when it’s just standing in super speed.

@@MentorDC electric healing is more bursty so it can use more power but with the new artifacts it because alot more balanced. Electric just doesn't have alot of heal over times vs like nature or celes. Electric dps is the best ranged dps and you have a good super

eddie torres brawling if your prec dps than yeah it’s okay but you might want to switch to dual wields weapon mastery for max dmg. if your using them for healer side I mean your better off with hand blaster dual pistol or martial arts unless your using the weapon mastery with brawler into martial art.

Kinda off topic, I been testing page and I understanding Page is basically a fail-safe or a quick buffer before you can get the group healed up. I been testing it at 200 and the most it heals for is just under 44k (with 10 stacks), also to note is that if you play nature it doesn't refresh/stack the metabolism group heal by just using flourish to refresh your hots.

@@itsphill3617 hey Phil, I guess it would depend on the power, it's just not quite as effective as i originally thought. But in it's defense that is for the whole 45k fail-safe for the raid party at 200 when they drop below 40%. I'm sure it will save a pile of people, like when the giant hawk in DM does his AOE slam. Guess it would just depend on your power. I switched from water to nature the other day I'm thinking I'll run trans, strat, and orb since all the hot crits with nature. For Water I could see it really being helpful. I wish I had a PC and not a Mac so i could play on test to try these things out without leveling the artifacts fully to try new things.

@@itsphill3617 I think I was playing water wrong I was relying on manacle and shields 8 man then riptide to refresh and then when riptide got to 50% I would use 8 man again, and when the tank would spike damage I would use the four man so they got the shield and into priority (with orb artifact) but even over 500sp I was struggling with power in alot of raids, other two powers were mending 4 man and solace. I should have waited and tried out this loadout first. But i'm pretty happy with Nature it barely uses power no need for demons fang anymore. Wish you the best with your switch!

@@ObsidianChill ah ok thank you. I’m still playing around with it myself to get ideas. I run trans, scrap and solar for my single target but I realised scrap doesn’t effect dehydrate as much. So I’ll be putting grim back in.
I do also use a different range target loadout but again still experimenting.

Corey Jordan in 2011 they had a mega server merge so before that there was multiple, prob around 9-12 between call I can’t remember exactly but after that they were merged to the ones we have now

you can still run regular heat vision, you just wouldn't get the aoe explosion at the end. If you have the transformation card leveled eventually regular heat vision is almost as good.
