If you apply the glue in a thin even coat the foil should look smooth. It also looked better after I burnished it with my fingers to get rid of all the loose foils. I hope this helps! Thanks so much!
The blue tape is just painters tape. Or you can use masking tape. For the foil Stripes you can cut them to the size you want on a cricuit or I also have used foil nail tape I found on Amazon
I purchased what you linked to the foils from Amazon. What I got is card stock backed foil colors. I thought maybe you peel it off the card stock. I didn’t get it to work. I thought maybe I missed a step in your tutorial. I don’t know how to use these there are 112 squares.
