I’ve been trying to do my own nails recently too but for me the hardest part is getting them as strong since I’m a bartender- I found that if you get the press on tips instead of the full nail (so the powder is halfway on your nails/ halfway on the tip) it lasts so much longer! Seems like you aren’t having a problem with it… I need to try that glue but wanted to pass the word from one independent girl to the next- love how they turned out!

As someone who has anxiety, I think it's awesome that you cut your own hair! Hair can be anxiety inducing if you're uncomfortable with potentially messing up - I have friends who cry every time they get it cut because the change overwhelms them. So I think it's great that you're down to give it a try and not worry!
I have sort of the same style as you! If you want the bangs to look super cool, I use those cheap curlers from Walmart (the biggest one in the pack) and I put them in after i shower and let it dry. Then part it down the middle and it’ll look amazing❤️❤️
I also have the same toxic trait and this is why I cut my own hair from 2015-2020 (so ages 14-19) and the only reason I stopped is because I started getting my hair professionally bleached/dyed. It is also why I did my own acrylics in high school and started doing them again this spring. I just love not relying on other people.

Honestly, the hair and nails both turned out amazing! I gave up getting my nails done at the salon when I lived in NYC because it just added up so fast, but luckily it's cheaper here in Seattle or I'd be doing exactly what you did! Loved that dark teal color! 💅🏻

I love your haircut! I decided earlier in the week to cut all of mine off. I, however, was not brave enough to do it myself. But I was in a similar situation to you, where I had just stopped styling it and putting it up.
If they’re lifting on the ends, when applying the gel, apply it underneath (like wrap it around) too! This will help prevent peeling bc the gel won’t lift anytime you scratch or anything! So do the gel base coat around the nail, cure, gel top coat around the nail, cure Hope this helps!!
