I have exactly the same Trek bike model (same colour too!) and I'm using it predominantly for fitness. I'm riding it for about two months now and I'm very satisfied how it handles, with smooth speed shifting and quite high built quality and mostly by great comfort. I usually ride for several days in week, something about 15-20 or sometimes more kilometers per ride, mostly in relatively flat areas. It is interesting that in Europe where I come from, this bike comes with another disc brakes, these from Tektro that are great! Overall, Trek FX 2 Disc with 2x9 Acera/Altus drivetrain is perfect for regular fitness, commuting but also joyrides through city. Greetings from Croatia, European Union.
I have the FX sport 6. You'd be surprised if you got a rack how much you'd use it. I stop for groceries where before I didn't and I added fenders what a difference. Great video...keep the rubber side down 👍
@CentralNH Thanks! At this time I don't have a need for a bike rack, but that can change! Maybe next upgrade? I think in my city leaving the bike unattended is risky but that's a topic for another video. Thanks for watching! How's the FX Sport 6?
I own an FX 2,It was gifted to me by a bike collective here in Los Angeles, after i had a really bad bike crash 6 weeks ago,2 days after my accident my bike was stolen ive had it for 2 weeks now and i love it
@BrianConnolly-t5m Sorry to hear about your other bike. The Trek FX is an awesome city commuter on road and trails. It's light too. Have fun out there!
Yes I've bought the FX2 here in New Zealand. Love it but then I had a folding bike before and this thing moves so much faster.!! However the brakes give great confidence with that additional speed. Hope my hydraulics don't develop the same issue that yours seem to have.
One year with the Trek FX2! The hybrid commuter is a great budget friendly city bike! What kind of bike do you have? Post in the comments! 🚲🚲🚲

Do you bring a tire patch kit, multitool and a mini pump when riding...just in case?
@25inspector Since the video I have invested in a few of those. I'll have to do another bike update video. Thanks for watching!
