People seem to be either downplaying or dismissing the issue but addressing some free rewards in the past? I don’t understand how that ever an excuse of the current problem of what this game has on P2W. I know brawl stars can be genuineness at times but to many new players like myself I didn’t get the opportunity to have those rewards. At least it won’t matter if the game wasn’t pay to win. I know someone might find this dismissive but other like myself fine this a huge problem and I’m glad other understood that too. We should never downplay the problem and we should address and fix the issue.

i dont think brawl stars is pay to win, but it sure as hell is getting close to being "pay to play". its absolutely impossible to upgrade a single power 1 brawler to power 11 on the free side of the pass, as it only gives 2500 power points, and you need 3700 to max out a brawler. old players dont care but for returning/new players, the power point shortage is a real thing. its very hard to get powerpoints from stuff like masteries too, as you get like what, 250 per rare/super rare/epic brawler?
The power points are the same as the old BP, the old one was 2 moths long, I felt that power points were low too, but slowly the money will be the problem

Legit seeing Maxed brawlers already around 300 matchmaking is so fxxked, imagine if it’s the old times where it’s based more on total brawler trophies.
That's why you see smart youtubers like SnakeThug, Crying Man, and Bedlam have multiple accounts. You can have steady progress topping off starr drops/season/brawlpass quests on multiple accounts playing for just around 2 hours a day, versus topping one singular account's starr drops/quests in 30mins~ and then wasting your time slogging trophy progress with your underpowered brawlers pushing masteries for more PP/GOLD. The game literally encourages and rewards casual play. The skills/game knowledge you obtain from trying different brawlers on your accounts only helps you be a better player 🤷♂️

The brawl pass only gives enough to upgrade a brawler from 1 to 11 and upgrade 1 to 3 brawlers from power 10 to 11, this with the +, the free side gives so little
f2p since 2019!!!! it really does suck when trying to get friends newly into this game since they get fucked by all the high level opponents its fun when you've been playing for years and have tonnes of progression stuff though!
i have a big promblem with brawlstars and why i call it p2w, star road. Instead of picking the brawler you want you gotta get ahole lotta others before the one. Now if the ones you were getting were good ok, BUT NO they lock up newer brawlers that are more op later on. And also if i have enough for a mythic brawler let me get him dont lock him behind 10 others. They should do it like chromatics more like a shop were you use the credits you have to buy brawlers

@MiniNEDYT well the issue in question really has not, it isn't exclusively on the basis of free passes provided monthly now as opposed to every 2 months We shouldn't forget about challenges, special drop types (like angel / demon drops, monster capsules, presents and dead boxes) alongside normal starr drops and special events are all part in helping players progress as much as they can, mastery rewards also help out a lot but people do not want to put in the effort to actually play more consistently which is something Brawl Stars *incentivises* to begin with, of course by proxy you can't level yourself up any further if you don't play often as one should for games that have leveling systems implemented to have depth and overall retention
You know you can save mastery rewards to unlock new brawlers immediately right? And no idea why you think that brawl is "Now p2w" when it has had power progression for the past 8 years
Why not save brawl pass rewards? Or why be locked from later unlocks on trophy road until you pick up the credits? Mastery rewards are fairly underwhelming for credits especially when you realise you can get enough coins to get a brawler to power 7 with a gadget (maybe 8 + gear) so yes you can, but how worth it is it?
@@Scratcho293 If you have all of the brawlers unlocked with the brawl pass alone you can unlock most new brawlers (except for higher rarities) and with the trophy road rewards and mastery rewards you can unlock every brawler no matter the rarity and it is just a matter of being active. I have been doing this since the new brawl pass came in 2024. As for being locked from unlocking further rewards on masteries and trophy road I have to agree it is dumb but on the other hand its not that big of a deal because it is just a matter of time before you get them. Those rewards arent going anywhere.
I have been playing videogames for 12 years and I have seen a lot. I can confirm that brawl stars is one of the more f2p friendly games that I have ever played (in 2019 and now) especially compared to other mobile games today. I dont ever see anyone mention all the free stuff and events that we got in the past 6 years that the game went global and that we are still getting that massively help progression. Now, this doesnt mean that I completely agree with everything supercell does. For example, remember those power level stats changes? I thought then that they are bad and I still do because it doesnt make it fair towards new players. But I have to say that the brawl stars dev team (which is separate from other dev teams) genuinely listens to their community and takes their critisisms. I mean, they even have their own podcast to answer the questions of the community! Does the dev team care about money? I mean, yeah, its a bussiness but in the last 6 years (7.5 if you count pre-global) they have shown that they care about making a good game. Sure, they still have some problems, most notably brawlers being broken on release and updates being buggy but I think its more due to a lack of organization or something else rather than greed and a lack of care. Also, isnt it weird that once the game becomes "p2w" it experiences its best year player count wise, reaching higher player count amounts than in 2019? Saying that this game is on a path to becoming the next pixel gun 3d is just simply not true and honestly disrespectful. Simply checking the player counts and the money earned brawl stars has NEVER had a better year than 2024 and its still doing very good for a "p2w" game.

No way. I've played this game a bit a long time ago so idk how it's now, the gameplay could be fun but the progression is terrible, you take too long to get any characters ans take forever to level up (there are like double the levels than in brawl stars and each level is much more expensive)

@gilbertcamero3424 I brought up mico and gray, because just like buzz, they were free brawlers. The point was that calling buzz lightyear a "p2w" aspect just because new players won't get him is idiotic.
As 1. He was literally FREE
2. Using that logic it can apply to literally any free reward. Such as Mico, and gray. Deadboxes, 100 starrdrops, etc. which is dumb

No way. I've played this game a bit a long time ago so idk how it's now, the gameplay could be fun but the progression is terrible, you take too long to get any characters ans take forever to level up (there are like double the levels than in brawl stars and each level is much more expensive)
