You guys are the only other ones that had Suffer on your year end list. I myself reviewed that album when it came out! Amazing album 🤘 Unfortunately I find too many people talking about Tribulation, Blood Incantation, & Opeth. Never gave any of those albums a second listen. Since you and Nick both have Suffer on your list I highly recommend Radiant Black - Rituals of Anarchy & Blessed By the Sin - Demons on My Grave. Both of these made into my top 10 🤘😎🍻
Nile and Blood Incantation are also my top two for this year. I rolled that Nile album so many times, and I played Blood Incantation a whole bunch as well. I hope we get a bunch of great stuff again, for Death Metal in 2025!
Great top 10. Thanks to you guys and your boy Geoff, Crypt Sermon was a great discovery for me. Amazing album. Also glad to see you had the Undeath album high on your list. Cheers on a great 2024 on the channel!
Awesome list, Jon! God that Nile record is an absolute BEAST. Happy new year to you and all the Thralls crew. You all have enhanced my 2024 more than I can put into words. Cheers!
Thank you! Yeah. That Nile really just kicked in the door and said "There's no need for other records. We win." I'm glad you've been able to find so many new listens! That's why we're here. Glad you're here, too.

Hi jon happy new year , great year from thralls of metal. Can you put a list of the your lists in comments or is it on your website. I could rewatch your videos again lol to see if any bands albums are there i would like to hear if i dont already. Keep doing it all the time :)
I've surely heard of them but haven't listened to them, I don't think at least. It's happened a time or two since starting this channel that I'll say "I've never heard this band", and Nick will be like "Uhh, yeah you have, we reviewed their last album..." Being a stoner is not without pitfalls and perils, I guess.
Have all but three of them. Nile is on while I work out right now. Looking forward to some more great content in the new year, Happy New Year ToM and all.
Yes! I agree with your #1 album in a big god damn way. That Nile album is perfection. This blows away Vile Nilotic Rites easy. An absolute beast of an album. I also really dig that you guys turned me on to the Suffer album. Holy crap, that is incredible.
Yeah. Nile raked everyone over the coals with that album. Just masterfully done. That Suffer album is truly amazing in its own rite though. Glad we could help! 🤘🤘
Loving the Textures shirt! Such an underrated band. If you're looking for recommendations in the vein of Necrowretch, you might dig some of the following acts: Azarath, Svart Crown, The Order of Apollyon, Belphegor, Naglfar. I think you'll dig them!
Thank you! I got this shirt at MDF last year. I've always adored Textures. I'm certainly familiar with Svart Crown (RIP) and Belphagor but I'll dive into the rest. Thanks for watching and for some recommendations! 🤘🤘
Civerous and Undeath is the perfect blend of delicious meat and potatoes death metal except one got killer riffs and vocals then other tastes like a perfectly cooked chicken tender just waiting to be devoured by the Jammin Jon's disgusting picks on this thumbnail I give it 5/5 skulls
I think this is the first time we're in agreement, at least on the DM side of things. Blood Incantation and Nile were also my top two...Nile being my all time favorite DM band of all time, and Absolute Elsewhere really got me into the band as well as made me a fan of Hidden History. \m/
Great list Jon, I got some good shit to listen to out of these lists Blood Incantation was my number 1 - I think I’ve listened to it nearly every day since its release It’s such an accomplishment of sonics and atmosphere
I honestly haven't listened to a dam thing by Nile since Dallas left, to me that guy was so important to there sound, but both you and Nik talk about it so highly ill have to check it out, same with Suffer. Nice to see Undeath in the Top 5, that album i jam at least once a day, waaay too much dam fun to listen to.
I had a rough time with Dallas' departure as well, but I assure you that this new record is worth its weight in gold, just as Suffer is. You won't be disappointed by either offering! 🤘🤘
There were just so many killer releases. The numeric order of my list was almost unnecessary. Nearly every album for 2024 just slayed. Great list for you, too! 🤘🤘
Before I watch, I have to gauge the Jammin one’s ability to recognize the best heavy music. Hmmm, how did Jon rate Alters of Madness? I think I read a typo earlier.
You guys are the only other ones that had Suffer on your year end list. I myself reviewed that album when it came out! I didn’t give the new Tribulation a shot. Just checked it out- catchy AF! Thanks for the rec
Some really good pick here. That Tribulation record is killer. Thanks for some new listens!!!!
Thanks Jon and Happy New Year!
You're welcome and a Happy New Year to you!
Thank you Jon for the list, you rule! I've got plenty of new stuff to listen to!
Can't wait for the anticipated albums of 2025 video. I'll be doing mine probably today.
I think that's on the docket for us soon too as well.
Nile and Blood Incantation are also my top two for this year. I rolled that Nile album so many times, and I played Blood Incantation a whole bunch as well. I hope we get a bunch of great stuff again, for Death Metal in 2025!
Yeah. I've listened to those albums so much that they live rent free in my head.
I can always rely on the thralls to show genuine love for some banging music. Thanks Jon!
Great top 10. Thanks to you guys and your boy Geoff, Crypt Sermon was a great discovery for me. Amazing album. Also glad to see you had the Undeath album high on your list. Cheers on a great 2024 on the channel!
Yeah. Crypt Sermon stuck with me all year. Great jams that never cease. 🤘
love the copy of No Jacket Required on your shelf. Happy New Year
I bought that thing for a dollar at our local antique mall. It's one of my favorite albums. Happy New Year to you! 🤘
I have been listening to that album for years
Keep up the good work
Love the channel 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

I'm glad you've been able to find so many new listens! That's why we're here. Glad you're here, too.
That Huntsmen album is amazing
It really is. I didn't expect to love it as much as I do, but it's a real banger.

The same one and two as me, just swapped around haha. Loved these list videos brother, happy new year!
Thanks, man! Yeah. I think Nick had them swapped, too. Happy New Year to you as well!
Killer list. Killer year for metal. Cheers
Thanks, Mark! It was definitely a killer year for metal. Onto the next!

Civerous Maze Envy was flawless. Still listen to it everyday! Top 5 for sure... Great list dude.
Oh yeah. It's been in constant rotation for me, too. Thanks for tuning in! 🤘🤘
Go check out Solitude aeturnus if you haven't heard them epic doom metal in the candlemass style amazing vocals.
I've surely heard of them but haven't listened to them, I don't think at least. It's happened a time or two since starting this channel that I'll say "I've never heard this band", and Nick will be like "Uhh, yeah you have, we reviewed their last album..."

Great list, mate. Civerous and Blood Incantation on this list makes me happy.
Thank you! 🤘🤘
Have all but three of them. Nile is on while I work out right now.
Looking forward to some more great content in the new year, Happy New Year ToM and all.
Happy New Year to you, too! 🤘🤘
Opeth was my #1..Amazing release!
🤘🤘
Great list, great year, bring on 2025!!
Thank you! 🤘🤘

That Suffer album is truly amazing in its own rite though. Glad we could help! 🤘🤘
Will have to check out Suffer
Thanks for the list dude!❤
You're welcome! 🤘🤘
If I was in a band I would want the hype sticker on my album to read “Unrelenting Gnar - Jammin Jon”
It's got a real ring to it, right?
Definitely 😂
You killed it, my top 3 too,
number
4 Deicide
5 Skeletal remains
6 Judas Priest
All bangers. 🤘🤘
Nice one Jon, have a great 2025 guys
Thank you, and a Merry 2025 to you, too! 🤘🤘

@@jamminjon8074 Of course, dude. If any of them click with you, let me know. I'm always excited when I help get someone into a new band lol.
You must be so relieved to wrap this up. Something tells me during this music journey you like that thing they call "riffs"!
Yeah. I could've easily just held up the albums and said "riffs!", and moved on.
Civerous and Undeath is the perfect blend of delicious meat and potatoes death metal except one got killer riffs and vocals then other tastes like a perfectly cooked chicken tender just waiting to be devoured by the Jammin Jon's disgusting picks on this thumbnail
I give it 5/5 skulls
Hell yeah! Thank you!
Dam you missed that gutless-high impact violence one of the best old school neck snapping albums of the year.
I did miss it. By the time I got to it, my list was already made.
Nile Rules 😊 album of the year 2024 Underworld Awaits us All 😮
It's a MONSTER among men. 🤘🤘
I think this is the first time we're in agreement, at least on the DM side of things. Blood Incantation and Nile were also my top two...Nile being my all time favorite DM band of all time, and Absolute Elsewhere really got me into the band as well as made me a fan of Hidden History. \m/
Woot! At long last, we agree! 🤘🤘
Great list Jon, I got some good shit to listen to out of these lists
Blood Incantation was my number 1 - I think I’ve listened to it nearly every day since its release
It’s such an accomplishment of sonics and atmosphere
Thank you, and yeah. I had it on while I was in the shower yesterday.

Because no one is mentioning it and because it definitely deserves your attention: Hauntologist - Hollow. So good with brilliant drumming.
I'm gonna dive into that today. Someone brought it up on our livestream last night. 🤘🤘
@ do a review with the boys!! Would love to see it.
So Thrash, goth, death ,metal ,and doom duuude! FuckYeah🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
So far it's Crypt sermon for me but i have plenty of albums among these to check out
I mean, you're not wrong. Crypt Sermon was and is a banger! 🤘🤘
Someone help me with #8...what was this band name?
This exactly premieres during new years here. 😂
Good! Perfect way to start the year, right?
Opeth, Eternal, Blood Incantation, Necrot, Judas Priest, 200 Stab Wounds, Saxon, Blood Red Throne, Blaze Bayley and Accept make my top 10.
There were just so many killer releases. The numeric order of my list was almost unnecessary. Nearly every album for 2024 just slayed. Great list for you, too! 🤘🤘
@ I forgot Chapel of Disease which would actually be in my top 3
No 200 stabs 😢
They didn't make the Top 10. They did make the list though.
Civerous are so good
Like you reading us a nighty nighty death, thrash, goth, black metal bed time story homie!!!!!!😹😹😹HAIL SATAN AND GUUDNIGHT🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
I can’t get into Nile the too much techisism just bores me on metal
Prog shouldn’t be mixed with death metal. The new Blood incantation sucked ass! But that’s just my opinion!
What is up with these horrible and clichéd album covers.
I had the same face as that banana in the corner of your room when I finally saw Blood Incantation on your list 🪐🛸👽🛰️
The banana is a wise one.
Before I watch, I have to gauge the Jammin one’s ability to recognize the best heavy music. Hmmm, how did Jon rate Alters of Madness? I think I read a typo earlier.
Math is hard.
