- CROFTY ON PITSTOP... The F1 season may be over, but we're only just getting started! Today's episode is with Formula 1 legend David Croft, the voice of Formula 1. We met Crofty out in Vegas and knew straight away how much of a great guy he was. So glad we got this podcast done with him AND WE WENT TO HIS HOUSE!!!! @@bbl_brynr they openly say who they support ( matt supports leclerc, tom max and kathy hamilton i think), so you know who each of them is leaning to when they give their opinion. That being said, i think (also beacause each of them supports a different driver) they are quite objective in analizing the situations and controversies and i find myself most of the time agreeing with them.

I’ve always had respect for Crofty but it’s skyrocketed after this, seems like he has so much time to speak to people even with his schedule and is just a down to earth witty guy, great pod

He's said on commentary before that he's a huge rock and metal fan. I remember I think sometime in 2013 that two members of Metallica were filmed in a team's garage during the race and Crofty started gushing about them

I wouldn't be an F1 fan, had I not listened to Crofty's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious commentary at Abu Dhabi in 2021, because it was first ever F1 race that I watched and it immediately turned me into a die-hard F1 fan. Thanks a lot Crofty, I owe so much and please dont't leave F1.

Honestly Crofty ist THE man. I love listening to him and I feel like he is so genuine and isn't afraid to say what he actually thinks. This feels like listening in on a conversation between friends. The first 5 minutes of every GP broadcast are pure magic! The rousing F1 theme building as the opening graphics play… transition to a soaring helicopter view of the circuit… and the golden words of Crofty setting the scene, describing the turns, telling us the offerings in the Pirelli range, and setting the grid… PERFECTION.
Fantastic interview guys. Crofty is the Christmas Wrapping on every F1 race. Wouldn’t be the same without that voice. I will forever picture him visualizing the starting grid and getting interrupted by some heavy metal band lyric. Legend.

The F1 "bible" that Crofty show here is actually a very limited edition book that is not being sold openly. I really am surprised that the newest 2022 edition goes to as high as €300!

Crofty is up there with Drurys and Tylers of this time, his voice is just so much familiar. You can just know whose talking in your sleep.

Greetings from Sweden, love you guys at Pitstop and also love Crofty. I listened to the song Crofty mentioned from The Gaslight Anthem, Handwritten. Gives nice foo fighters vibes. Also some similarities to The Black Parade, and not to strange since both bands formed in 2006.
My favourite band is My Chemical Romance so I will give this song a go.

Aside from his fiery commentary, I always liked his conversation with martin in between moments in races, it's like hearing your mates exchanging banters from the boredom lol. I hope the crofty-brundle duo stays for a long time.
