I cried all the way through this, thank you for showing it, I am a New Zealander living in WA for almost 20 years now...I miss our culture...especially the way we do funerals, our families perform the haka and more, it's our way of life...I appreciate you so much

You hear of people complaining about the ABs doing the Haka prior to games but they don’t understand the honor and respect that is being offered , not too many kiwis have received such a overwhelming tribute as did Lomu , Kia Kaha Jonah

I remember the first time I saw the haka was on TV while my dad was watching a match. I was 13 i didn’t know what it meant or why they were doing it but I felt goosebumps all over. They have such a rich and powerful culture only a hater would complain about it regardless of knowing the meaning behind it 🤷🏾‍♀️

It is more of an honor to understand that ther is a special Haka for eve y occasion...Every Haka is respected for it simply being performed. Those criticizing the Haka more than likely have no culture of its own and it will always go way over their heads....

As an Englishman I never thought I would have cried whilst seeing the Haka. But believe me this chocked me up & seeing your reactions one could see you were genuinely moved while watching the video.
The Haka isn't just a battle cry, it's more than that. It's also about honor, tradition & also respect.
And I can't think of a more honourable & respectful tribute than these very powerful Haka's for the greatest ever rugby player. Not just for the All Blacks but the whole rugby world.

FYI.. @2:20 far right at the end is Buck Shelford. Its 1986..20mins into a game against the French, Buck got caught in an aggressive ruck. His testicle was ripped from his scrotum and was hanging outside of his body. He also lost 4 teeth. Our rugby players are hard as nails..They're tough b*starts.
Wayne 'Buck' Shelford was the toughest player in history in my opinion.
Jonah Lomu will forever be my favorite.

Being Australian there’s a lot of friendly rivalry between us and NZ but I can say wholeheartedly their Māori people and culture hold the utmost respect. I still get goosebumps when I hear and see the haka. I think the world would be a better place if we could come together and feel that bond, togetherness and magic that binds people with the haka

I appreciate this record of Jonahs tribute. Thank you.
NZ should remember such unity when silly people try and divide the many races that comprise New Zealand.
I like the thought of Jonah as a peacemaking dove, bring the world together in Union.
The haka too as a unifying force...is a good thing.
The world needs more unifying things. Rugby. Heroes. Team. Hakas. Family.

Kia ora. You should check into a book called Facing the Haka. Lots of pics and stories about the Haka and those that performed it throughout the years and what it is like to be across from it. Translations are included. As many times as I’ve seen this video, I’d never noticed that the pallbearers are interlocked as if they are in a scrum. Beautiful. Aroha from the hills of West Virginia.

*That's the beautiful unique sound of the DEI Soul that characterizes New Zealand Aotearoa, the land of long white cloud. In this instance, it's expressed for the departure of a legend of their sport in Auckland. In other instances, it's expressed for the needless violent loss of their fellow Kiwis from a vile racial terrorist attack in Christchurch! New Zealand is a model of multiculturalism harmony, far ahead of other countries in the world. At the risk of this reaction video becoming political, I will refrain from naming the worst ones on DEI!!!*
