We're a superpower, which often seems to actually be an unenviable status. We're always going to send billions to some lesser country for some reason. Historically, isolationism has eventually created problems, including wars.

As a young child growing up in a very poor suburb in the South South of Nigeria, American politicians were some of my favourite people and source of inspirations only next to Holywood actors (Arnold Scwarzenneger, Sylvester Stylone, Chuck Norris etc).
But ever since i discovered those action movies were nothing but fake, then it dawned on me also that America has some of the most disgusting politicians just like Nigeria does. And people like Kevin McCarthy, Jim Jordan, Matt Gaetz, Laurent Baobert, MTG, Dos Santos, Sen. Menedez - just to name a few, exemplifies the worst set of humans walking the corridors of power.
